都是基于client/server模式的, 而且设计之初就是顶多应付大型企业的性能, 现在要

your email, not where your emails are stored. Your emails are still in cloud
(public or private), no matter what kind of client you use.

such as Amazon, MS and Google, they sell storage space and computing hours.
Virtulization is the key to sell compute hours. Google App engine doesn't
offer VM so there is no isolation above process.Both Amazon and Azure offer
storage service, where you can access the data through simple REST interface.
If you pack some standard application level functions, it's referred Saas,
such as salesforce, zoho, .etc.

put data on a public cloud where they share resource with other people from
the world, and lack necessary compliance and audit. Azure has advantage to
build private cloud, as MS has some muscle there.
