Dear Sir/Madam,
I am the defendant of traffic ticket No.WSP Ixxxxxxxxx, pending before the
contested hearing at Renton Courthouse.
According to the back of the notification for my contested hearing and
pursuant to IRLJ 3.1(b), as a defendant, I am entitled to have the right to
request the citing officer’s sworn statement and other related items for
discovery. I respectfully request a copy of following items for the
discovery of the contested hearing.
1. The citing officer’s sworn statement.
2. The front and back of the traffic ticket.
3. The citing officer’s training records that pertain to his
certification and continuing education of the traffic speed enforcement and
to the use of the speed detection device that was used to ascertain the
speed of the vehicle described in citation No. Ixxxxxxxx
4. The calibration certification or the calibration record of the
speedometer of citing officer’s car on or before July xx, 2010
5. The copy of the maintenance logbook for the vehicle the citing officer
was driving during the citation case No. Ixxxxxxxx
6. If the radar unit was used, the instruction manual stating how the
radar unit is to be operated and the copy of the maintenance logbook for
radar unit, which was used during the citation case No. Ixxxxxxxxxx
7. All other evidence to be used by the prosecution.
It is essential to my defense that the above items be produced and sent to
my address listed above 7 days before the hearing in order that I may
prepare my defense based on the solid facts. Thank you for your anticipated
cooperation.

u do the similar thing and fax it to the prosecuting agancy which should be
listed on your ticket
and call them to make sure they got your fax the other day after...
and wait
and wait
until u got police report mailed to you
and if u didn't get it 1 week advance before your hearing date, then man, u
r lucky, u could go to the court and say with a smiling face to the judge "
ur honor, I have a motion to dismiss the case coz I didn't have the police
report mailed to me after I requested"
