m****u 发帖数: 229 | 3 At current condition, someone may call your 100 shares of stocks away from
you. And you will need to pay exercise option fee to your broker when your
shares got called away.
When the current stock price> the option strike price you selected, someone
has the right to decide if he/she wants to exercise the call before the call
option expires.
If you want to keep your 100 shares, you will need buy back the call option
that you sold at the current market price.
But no one knows which way the stock will go to tomorrow.
There is always a chance when your stock dropped down to $1 tomorrow. And in
that case, no one will exercise the call option.
In either case, you get to keep the premium from selling the call option. |

So I don't need to do anything myself and just wait for the call to be
exercised or my stocks being called away?
my mistake

But if the stock goes from $10 to $100 tomorrow, someone will call your
stocks away, and you may still be tearing for not buying back your option
call.
If you think the stock price will go down, you write call(selling call) and
also buy put.
If you think the stock price will go up, you buy call and selling put.
It's good to make sure that u have enough money to cover both call and puts. |

I'll just wait for the stock to be called away. sigh, never play again.
and
