r*****r 发帖数: 867 | 1 I used viso to create a figure, and use ps printer to convert it to ps, and
then use gsview to convert it to eps.
But the figure doesn't show in dvi viewer, although it shows correctly in pdf
version.
What's the problem?
Thanks. | T*******n 发帖数: 493 | 2 The EPS file is not embedded into the DVI file; only a file link is provided.
The DVI viewer will have to rely on an external program (e.g., ghostscript)
to draw the EPS figure. Perhaps you don't have a PS interpreter installed or
the DVI viewer cannot find it? You didn't say what system/installation you
are using?

I am using MikTex.
I finally solved the problem using the method described in one previous post
in the board. I installed a driver of color printer driver, and tried to print
selected part to ps in visio, and then converted it to eps.
When I used a HP black-color printer, there is problem.
I think the problem happens when the printer driver generates the ps file.

| T*******n 发帖数: 493 | 4 That might explain it. When you try to display an EPS file in Windows,
the viewer (whatever it is) often relies on the EPS having TIFF preview
data in it. It is possible that the BW PS printer driver didn't include TIFF
preview information in the EPS whereas the color PS PS printer driver did.
