The car is sedan, 3 year old, routine maintenance, just change tire. We will
spend 9 days on the road (from Chicago to San Jose), and then I will fly
back.
One option is to drive along route 66, classic route, but less scenic
landmark.
The 2nd option is to drive to denver --> Grand Juction --> Flagstaff --> LA |

指示牌了。需要买特殊的地图册才能找到路。
许多路段已经很多年没有维护了。沿路的补给条件和现役的公路也可能不一样。你确定
你准备好了吗？ |

另外，车里怎么也有不少东西吧，出去玩的时候要是趴车恐怕都担心车里东西

还是地图上标的 有view的
真的是 啥也没有 啥也没有啊。。。
除了光秃秃的山就是光秃秃的山
大山中间一个小镇子 进出镇子的盘山路限速 15mph 可是坑死我老人家了
你可以从google maps上瞅一眼从flagstaff到kingman那一段
基本上就那个样子了 呵呵

Route 66 was replaced mainly by I-55, I44, and I-40. so these are 3 main
highway we will drive. Never been to New Mexico, and Arizona (except Grand
Canyon).
1. from chicago to Okahoma city, I-55 and I44, 774 miles
we will drive on the highway all the way, might stop at St Louis for the
Gateway Arch
2. from Okahoma city to Alburquerque, I-40, 556 miles
we will drive ont he highway all the time, might stop at Cadillac Ranch

not much places left if I want to travel in US during the winter season.
driving from east to west (cross America) is always something I'd like to
try, at least once.
Route 66 is gone, Historic Route 66 does exist, but not necessarily
maintained well, and less scenic driving.

my little dc is not better than the google maps though.. hehe
santa fe is a small town, a bit off from I40 by ~1h. the building style
is unique. other than that, i do not think it is worth one full day.
half day is sufficient, at least for me. unless u'd like to spend some
time in the museums. we were somewhat unlucky. there was a heavy rain when
we visited there. we only spent littl

高速能有多盘，顶多在山区有点坡，
而且山区很快就过去了
