地带的自然风光为主，游览的主要景点和时间安排是：
Grand Canyon National Park South Rim 1天
Lake Mead NRA, Valley of Fire State Park 1天
Las Vegas 1晚上
Death Valley National Park 2天
Channel Islands National Park 1天
Los Angeles 1晚上+小半天
Joshua Tree National Park 大半天
Tucson, Saguaro National Park 1天
具体如下，不知安排是否合理，请大家多提宝贵意见，先谢啦！
12/24，周六，早8点到Phoenix，租车去Grand Canyon South Rim,由东向西开，晚回
south rim正南方向的Williams, AZ住。当天开车累计310mi,需5个半小时。
12/25，周日，开去Las Vegas，沿途游览Lake Mead NRA, Valley of Fire State Park
,晚在Las Vegas看show。当天开车累计324mi, 需6个半小时。
12/26，周一，从LV出发，沿Tecopa, Badwater basin一线进入Death Valley，夜宿东
边的Beatty，当天开车累计203mi, 需5小时。
12/27，周二，由东向西穿过Death Valley, 到LA北部的Santa Clara过夜，当天开车累
计287mi,需7小时。
12/28，周三，坐船去Channel Islands主岛Santa Cruz Island,cruise时间是，早上9
：00去，下午16：30回，晚上在LA吃大餐，后住城东，准备明天去Joshua Tree。当天
开车累计133mi, 需2个半小时。
12/29，周四，从LA城东去Joshua Tree，晚上住Phoenix,当天开车累计388mi,需6个半
小时。
12/30，周五，去Tucson的Suguaro National Park。傍晚前回Phoenix，准备赶晚上8点
的飞机。
旅游7天全程近2000mile, 40小时，平均每天开车5-6小时，冬天白天就10小时，每天只
剩4小时看风景，够么，要不要删掉些景点，放松些，但又很难取舍，请大家多指点，

更新： 鉴于大家意见，为了少赶路，把景点玩深入些，已经做取舍，将Channel Islands和LA删去，Death Valley玩好直接去Joshua Tree.多出一天时间用于玩Lake Mead和LV.

发帖数: 1149 | 12 恩，那如果channel islands 不去的话，多出一天放在哪里好呢，多在LV住一晚怎样？
这样既可以多玩玩Lake Mead，又可以在LV多看看show，还能去Red Rock Canyon。
Grand Canyon虽然很出名，不过之前夏天已经去过一次，这次主要是冲着冬天的
flagstaff和大峡谷去的，想看看雪景，所以1天应该够了。

LA has its own cycle, and you need to visit it other time.

I had a 2-week summer trip to North Arizona and South Utah 2 years ago.
I visited the loop of PHX - Grand Canyon South - Page - Grand Canyon North
- Wave - Zion - Bryce - Arch/Canyonlands - Monument Valley - Canyon de
Chelly - Petrified Forest - PHX. I planed to visit Tucson but failed, since it
is too hot in PHX/Tucson area.
I also visited Colorado including west Utah for 8 days (days on road
excluded) last summer before my national park annual pass expired. So
for most of the attractions, I have visited.
This time, we only have one-week winter trip since we are no longer
students and can only travel during holidays or annual vacation days. We did a
loop including Las Vegas, LA, San Diego, San Francisco, Yosemite, Death
Valley and back to LV again for 8 days in 2007 winter as well. But at that
time, we spent a lot of time in cities and visited man-made parks, like Disney,
Sea world. So now, since we have national park annual pass again, we will do
some nature trip.
Really thank you for your advice. I agree with all your comments. We are
travelling circle surrounding LV this time, as many other friends do.
The reason to choose PHX as base is because cheap flight ticket.

early, there is no one there. if you want to see sunrise, then turn left,
drive about 200meter, there is parking, and deck. otherwise, drive straight,
and it's a loop (anti-clock).
white sand dune open about 20 minute before sunrise. the ranger will come to
unlock the gate. drive straight for about 110-15 minutes. turn left,
parking the car, then walk as far as you can, sunrise from your behind, and
mountain in front of you. for best photo opportunity, arrive before sunrise,
and after sunset. since the gate is locked, so some people choose to hike
in (a long walk). So you best bet is wait after sunset, bring your tripod.
but most importantly, bring 保鲜膜，wrap around your lens, dslr body, the
sand can enter right into your sensor.
if you have time, you can drive 1 hour from Bosque del Apache to VLA.

antelope canyon，后来这几年相机就不大干净了，最近新换了D7000,确实要好好保护。
有点不大明白，日落时很美，日落后的景色要比日落时的还好么？另外开车进去等到日
落出来，出来的路应该还可以通车吧？
VLA应该没时间去，我们也不一定把每个地方都玩到，留点遗憾下次才有理由再来嘛。
Santa Fe, Taos, ABQ不是都还没去呢。
我比较喜欢搜集信息，特别是临行之前，不过真去了，也没那么较真，相信只要有好的
心情，到处都有好风景，贪太多景点，太赶路，都会容易累，影响心情，所以能够对去
的地方有所了解，做到不虚此行就够了。

想去花钱的国家公园了。等下次有机会再去Santa Fe, Taos, ABQ那里吧。而且LV，
Death Valley也相对暖和些。
下周你去LV可以看看版上LV的介绍，相信有不少可以玩，自然风光也可以去附近的Lake
Mead, Valley of Fire和Red Rock Canyon.

发帖数: 1149 | 33 对，我知道去channel island要坐船，而且一天只有一班，只能去一个岛。我原打算去
的那天只有主岛Santa Cruz开放，不过后来考虑到行程太紧，加上冬天的Channel
islands不算好看，已经不打算去了，连LA也不去了。我在文章后面更新里面提到过。
死谷之前冬天去过一次，是从Yosemite出来去LV的路上，只有半天，显然太少。这次打
算故地重游，并且打算租四驱车开土路，可能会去看移动的石头，Titus Canyon，所以
两天我觉得差不多。
Joshua Tree我们不攀岩，所以确实也只有半天多一点的安排，晚上要开到PHX。

有人认为只要不像国内过来的旅行团那样稍长一点的trail都不走，就不算蜻蜓点水；
也有人认为非得在一个国家公园back country camping and hiking好几天才算深度。
我的原则是平均每天用于路上的时间不能超过用于景点的时间。这次平均每天开车
250mi/5个小时，基本是到了我冬季出游承受的极限，再紧就有点不值了。但我也没到
愿意在Death Valley呆上两天以上那样的深度，因为考虑到死谷冬天已经去过一次，那
次只有半天，大峡谷夏天已经玩过两个整天，LV也去过两天，这次旅程只有Lake Mead,
Valley of Fire, Joshua Tree, Tucson是从来没去过的。
这个平衡每个人都不一样，我目前有点趋向于蜻蜓点水了，因为假期越来越少，想去的
地方却越来越多。

发帖数: 1149 | 36 当然enjoy风景啦，所以不想开车时间太长嘛，不过想去的地方还不够近，开车也是难
免的。现在每天250mi，我基本可以接受了，看在这一路风景还不错的份上。

首先谢谢版上各位朋友在半个月前对我关于“美西南温暖风光一周游”的建议和意见。
我们旅行很顺利，玩得很开心，因此写了这篇游记作为纪念，并希望其中一些信息能帮
到将来做计划的朋友。
我们的旅行共7天，12/24-12/30，以Phooenix为起点和终点，主要玩包括大峡谷，死谷
，Joshua Tree， Saguaro在内的4个国家公园，和LV及其周边的一些景点，以暖和地带
的风光游为主，兼顾城市。
行程大致如下：
12/24, 周六，第1天，飞Phoenix, Fox租四驱Wrangler，玩Sedona，大峡谷南缘 (从
Desert View进入) ，住Canyon Plaza Resort at Tusayan；
12/25，周日，第2天，继续玩大峡谷南缘（Yaki point 日出，Mather point，Hermit
Road，Hoover Dam, Lake Mead日落，Las Vegas张宇黄小琥演唱会，住LV Palace
Station；
12/26，周一，第3天，白天Outlet shopping，玩Valley of Fire State Park，Lake
Mead，晚上玩LV，住Palace Station；
12/27，周二，第四天，从LV走Scenic Route去死谷，玩Bad Water ，走4驱路，看沙丘
日落， 夜宿Beatty Exchange Club Motel；
12/28，周三，第5天，Titus Canyon, Grapevine地区，The Racetrack，夜宿Joshua
Tree NP旁的Yucca Valley的Best Western；
12/29，周四，第6天，玩Joshua Tree NP, 夜宿Tucson Courtyard at Williams
Center；
12/30，周五，第7天，玩Sagurao NP东区，Biosphere2, 回Phoenix赶飞机回家。
小结：在只有7天，并且打算走4驱路烧时间的情况下，应该不去那些路线太绕且不太重
要的地方，例如Tucson，多放点时间在沿途的4驱路，特别像死谷这样的地方。如果重
新计划，在租4驱车玩7天的情况下，会不去Tucson，省一天放在死谷。

12/29: Yucca Valley – Joshua Tree NP – Phoenix – Tucson, 398mi, 7:05
12/30: Tucson – Saguaro NP East – Phoenix, 179mi, 4:25
距离和时间由google map计算，总距离1887mi, 43:44, 实际情况是7天共计近2000mi,
40小时左右，平均每天280mi, 6小时多一点。（我们租的4驱Wranger耗油且开不快，基
本是路上最慢的车）
我们不大喜欢按计划循规蹈矩，一般旅行计划只做参考，看路上心情和具体情况而定。
而且喜欢睡懒觉，除个别早晨起早，一般都要早9点过后才check out。如果你也喜欢不
紧不慢的玩，可以参照这个计划安排时间。
旅行成本：机票$622+交通（租车，油费，停车等）$920+餐饮住宿食品$686+其他（门
票，购物等）$180 = $2408，共7天，平均每天$344（两人）。相比09年暑假AZ-UT 13
天双飞游$2500，和10年暑假科罗拉多12天4人自驾游$2200，这次因为旺季，机票，租
车，住宿，油费都比较贵，是我们比较奢侈的一次了，下次要注意控制成本。 |
