NEW YORK (AP) — The tent cities in New York, Los Angeles and Philadelphia
have faded away. And now Occupy Wall Street protesters are starting to talk
more about the movement's specific goals.
Protesters interviewed by The Associated Press have a wish list of demands
that they hope will help end economic inequality. They range from student
loan reforms and reinstating banking regulations to the plea to act with a
moral conscience.
The protesters say they are meeting resistance at Occupy Wall Street general
assembly meetings. New York press liaison Bill Dobbs says the movement
should still focus on drawing in people, not coming up with specific ideas.
But Alan Collinge is among the protesters who say that Occupy needs to come
up with a short-term list of specific demands |
