Resignation

Speaker of the House John Boehner announced today he would be resigning from
Congress at the end of October, an announcement that sent conservatives
everywhere into massive celebratory dances and fist pumps, knowing we’d
soon be rid of a guy who couldn’t stand up and do the right thing to save
his life.
Unfortunately, he’s giving us all one last parting gift before he tucks
tail and runs, which comes in the form of a spineless decision to sign a
budget without defunding Planned Parenthood.
Yeah, if I were too yellow-bellied to stand up against the murder of babies
and the sale of their organs, I’d resign and hide in a cave somewhere too.
While tons of people have weighed in on Boehner’s decision, no one has
managed to sum it up as well as Ben Shapiro. This is oh so true, and might
get a chuckle out of you too.
Like a man who passed gas in an elevator and then left as the doors
closed, trapping others, so does Boehner pass from the Speakership.

Absolutely nailed it.
I don’t think this could be put any better.
The bottom line is Boehner’s refusal to do what’s right, to do the will of
his constituents by failing to stop Obamacare and not defunding Planned
Parenthood has left a linger stench the good folks of this country won’t
soon forget.
It’s sad to see a man’s entire legacy, all of his life’s work, be
encapsulated by two words. It stunk.
Now that he’s leaving, it’s imperative he be replaced as Speaker by
someone with a track record of standing on principle who won’t bow the knee
to Obama or any other progressive and will actually get things done that
will preserve our liberty. | T*********I 发帖数: 10729 | |
