Sorry I have to call BS on the author of this article. It is very, very
common for a hotel operator to have either a management contract or a
marketing contract with the hotel, and to have another entity, often a real
estate investment trust own the same hotel. The employees work for either
the management company or the company with the marketing contract for the
hotel, which in this case if he has a management contract or a marketing
contract would be trumps organization.
You're obviously unfamiliar with the hotel business, if the author of this
article is so sure of her position in this article, I will bet you $500 cash
that Trump has employees at that hotel. I've worked for companies that had
management contracts in Scottsdale, DC, Colorado, California, New Jersey
where we had between 500 and 1500 employees that were employees of our
company, and no employees of the company that owned the hotel were on-site
except for an asset manager that would show up for monthly meetings.
Very misleading article, you should research and if you are incorrect

The Hotel is owned by asset management company, Trump Hotel collection has
the management contract. It is very very common practice in the hotel
industry for one entity, often a bank or real estate investment trust, to
own the asset which is the hotel, and another entity, to have a management
contract or a management and marketing contract for the hotel. In fact, it
is more common to have the structure than to have the same company own and
manage the hotel.
As an example, nearly all Marriott's are owned by one entity, and managed by
Marriott.
Having been in the hotel business for a long time, we have multiple
properties where we have over 1000 employees that are employees of our
company, and we don't own the asset (the building). We have one in Arizona
where we have had the management and marketing contract for 28 years, and we
have 1500 employees that work for our company not the company that owns the
