A CAR has rammed into a pedestrian area on Essex Road, Islington – reports
on the scene have claimed.

Police and a helicopter rushed to the area to deal with the incident.
Images from the scene show pedestrians laying on the ground.
The incident took place outside the Old Queen’s Head pub.
A driver is believed to have been arrested in relation to the incident.
Police do not believe the incident was terror related.

发帖数: 3433 | 8 TWO knives have been found at the scene where a car ploughed through
pedestrians along a busy road in Islington, London.
At least three people have been taken to hospital following the incident
which happened just before 11pm on Saturday outside the Old Queen’s Head
pub on Essex Road – an area with many bars and restaurants.
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of GBH with intent and possession of
points and blades after knives were found on the scene.
It comes days after Khalid Masood killed four people and injured 50 others
when he drove his car along Westminster Bridge before stabbing PC Keith
Palmer to death outside the Houses of Parliament.
The suspects are believed to have mowed down pedestrians before jumping out
of the vehicle and attempting to escape on foot.
The scene remains on lockdown as Metropolitan Police and a National Police
Air Service helicopter rushed to the scene in an attempt to bring the
situation under control.
Images from the scene in Essex Road appear to show pedestrians strewn along
the pavement.
Two men and a woman were later taken to hospital for treatment, but their
injuries are believed not to be life threatening.
James Monks, who arrived on the scene shortly after the incident, claimed a
female police officer told him the victims were “seriously injured but
conscious”.
Metropolitan Police say they are not treating the incident as terror related.
A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said: “Police were called at
approximately 10.55pm on Saturday, March 25 to reports of a car in collision
with a number of people in Essex Road, N1.
“Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
“Three people - two males and one female - were taken to hospital for
treatment to their injuries. At this stage their injuries are not being
treated as life threatening.
“The occupants decamped from the car and fled the scene on foot.
