Director James Comey's opening testimony and is eager to move forward.
Feel vindicated for what? There was no investigation on him personally?
Comey didn't say there was. Comey only said there was investigation on the
potential interference of Russion and potential collusion between Trump
campaign and Russia.
2. Director Comey's opening statement confirms he told President Trump three
times that he was not under investigation. The testimony also confirms that
President Trump did not impede or engage in obstruction of justice of the
investigation.
Just because he is not personally under investigation doesn't exonerate his
campaign completely. If you want to draw that tight a connection between the
person and his campaign, does that mean the president is going to be
personally responsible if any of his subordinates of the campaign are ever
found to be violating the law?
3. President Trump knew firing Director Comey would be detrimental to his
presidency, but he knew it was the right thing to do for the country so he
did it anyways.
For the country? He was a great guy after the election according to the
president. At what point did firing Comey becomes good for the country?
4. Director Comey lost confidence of both sides of the aisle, and the
president was justified in firing him.
Both sides of the aisle certainly have qualms about Comey. What is the
evidence that both sides lost confidence on him?
5. Director Comey and his deputy have even admitted under oath there was no
obstruction.
Taking their words out of context.
6. Director Comey has a long history of blatant contradictions and
misstatements.
A few misstatement for sure. To suggest long history of blatant
contradictions and misstatements is grossly exaggerated. If it were the case
, the president should've fired him on the first day in office.
7. There is no evidence of collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.
So far no fire, except for a lot of smoke popping up everywhere.
8. While investigating the Clinton email scandal, Director Comey succumbed
to political pressure from the Obama White House – this is far worse than
anything President Trump is rumored to have said.
Obama had no direct conversation with Comey about Clinton investigation.
Trump ask Comey to drop an ongoing investigation. Obama is more guilty?
9 The Left and the media are using the Russia investigation as a means to
obstruct the President's agenda. It is time to get back to the real issues.
Maybe true.
