CHRISTIANSBURG -- The case against a former Virginia Tech
student accused of killing another student in a campus cafe
may end with a guilty plea rather than a weeklong jury trial.
Haiyang Zhu, 26, is charged with first-degree murder in the
Jan. 21 death of fellow student Xin Yang, 22. Zhu is accused
of attacking and decapitating Yang with a knife as the pair
had coffee together at Au Bon Pain in Tech's Graduate Life Center.
