标 题: 用电翻3倍，请教麻里兰资深居民

我家俩口人，9月从外周搬来，现住在2bb的公寓，家里热水和cooking都是用电
近来收到了第一张电费账单，40天用了1480kwh （actual reading）, $250. 我们平时
用电节约，正常做饭，不开空调，很少用dryer干衣服，用的最多的就是电脑。
翻看以前的电费账单，同样的情况，每月消耗不到500kwh, 怎么到了这里用电能翻到3
翻？
早上让物业读了我的电表，又吓我一跳，10天用了1200kwh,照这速度，我这个月账单会
超过$500.到冬天开暖气不得1000刀！？ 太离谱了
我给PEPCO打了电话，他们说会派人调查，要4-6周。我担心他们要是查不出什么名堂，
我难道就只能认了吗？
大家的电费都是多少？有没有人跟PEPCO打过类似交到？ |

发帖数: 5193 | 2 瓦，同情，可以想象这个电表肯定转得跟风扇似的呼拉拉滴呀。要不电表坏乐，要不遭电耗子
乐。电力公司查明以后别忘了给我们udate一下。

发帖数: 2288 | 3 我们家3人住的townhouse，8月用电大概在650KWH，单价$0.128/KWH。
我们属于正常用电，一般不怎么刻意节约。
你家好像用电是我们的两倍，单价是我们的1.3倍。
不会是电表坏了吧？

问题是电力公司说会调查，要4-6周，到时候肯定说电表没坏。这种调查，如果不是第
三方做，根本就没用的。
公寓的人说了，没有可能是被盗电了，或是贴错标签了。

We have a single family house (about 3100 sqft). We don't have gas here, so
we use electricity for everthing( AC/heating, hot water and cooking). We
have 6 people live in the house, and I work from home, means there are
always someone stay in house. I just looked at the bill of the last month ,
the usage for the house is about 1100 kwh. So, for your 2bb apt, 10 days
1200kwh, something must not right. It seems someone is stealing electricity
from you.

billing system is a mess so they often sent out wrong bills. The first bill
we got was over $1000 for a 2-br apt.
My suggestion is:
1. you really have to be patient on their investigation.
2. Meanwhile, collect evidence and prepare to call and write to their
regulators and also prepare to sue them, if the investigation result is
against you.
3. Keep the evidence in case they mess up again next time.
