I don't know how to distingush 牡丹和芍药, many year ago I have a friend who
have 芍药, my impression is that they are very similar, but 牡丹 blooms in
summer, 芍药 blooms in spring. But, at that time, I did not realy pay close
attention to the difference. | W*****w

牡丹是木本，是小灌木，冬天地上的部分掉叶子，但不会死，春天从枝子上发芽。
