based on body mass. this is the main difference.
405cx does come with a premium heart rate monitor which is a lot softer and
more comfortable, supposedly more accurate in the first few miles.
And 405cx has the Velcro in the strap for smaller female wrists. |

405CX looks cool, but the buttons/keys or whatever it has on it would be
hard to play with especially after you are tired or have gloves on.
310XT looks bulky, but works great. My friend who raced Kona recommended it
to me. |

charging.
It looks more sense of value than 405cx. Beeping sound is
louder (a very good feature for me, because I wear headphones
while running). Its GPS is very fast-locking and very strong
signal -- my 405cx cannot get GPS locked in my home, but
this one only took 30 seconds or so for the first ever GPS
lock on).
It comes with a premium HRM chest strap. Very comfortable
(I bought separately a premium strap for 405cx last weekend).

Yesterday it was "Deal of the Day," same price. I got
one, although feeling guilty because I have a 405cx less
than one year old.
Compared with 405cx, this one has a better GPS (what I
really want) and a better HRM chest strap. In addition
to these 'heart-capturing' features, the touch operation is
improved. Plus, I can have one more set of charger and
ANT+ stick - one set stays in my computer bag and one set

Here is the the info again:
Looks like Garmin 410 and 610 is able to change timezone
automatically. I am sure of 610, because I regularly
travel between two time zones with 610 (Just finished
one trip on Monday). Did not test 410, though.
405cx has this function/option, but it never worked
for me. After having 610, I just stopped worrying about
it. 405cx is now dedicated to my gym treadmill runs with
footpod. |

For 205, Battery life: Up to 10 hours
For 405CX, Battery life: 2 weeks in power save mode; 8 hours in training
mode
For 405, Battery Average Life: 8 Hours
Not sure of 110. But, if the number is in the ballpark, their default GPS
measuring period should be close to each other. |
