and find some other job, probably you can get 25% increase in salary plus 15
% bonus, 基本实现了80k-100k得目标。说的是东北部，当然这个纯靠个人运气，也有
人找了快一年也找不到这样子得工作。另外最近好想经济有点起色啦， 听说pwc招tax

93k to 143k in the life and health industry 6 years from now
the difference btwn this and working on the street is that while you are still taking exams in the actuarial field, you rarely ever work overtime (ususally btwn 37.4 to 45 hours). And you have paid study hours (company pays you to go home and study). After |

票，无牛paper， 两个offer求比较。
1. Micron Technology Process Engineer 93k + max 10% bonus 在Boise ID的
Research Line上做，顶头老板印度人，据说压力不会很大，可以work life balance。
2. Samsung Austin Semiconductor Process Integration Engineer 83k + max 25%
bonus在Austin TX的Production Line上做，顶头白人老板，据说加班很多，没有work
life balance。
考虑上税和物价房价似乎两者差不多，我个人觉得职业发展上是1更好，但是请版上有
经验的过来人帮小弟分析一下吧。多谢了。 |

大牛指点怎么argue还是就从了。本人PhD, 因为也没有去找工作,手上没别的offer。

发帖数: 7 | 19 ME PhD, 不足1年工作经验，也是世界500强，无卡，OPT中。Ford HM给了口头，但要我
报Expected Salary给HR。我问该职位有没有薪水范围，HM没有正面回答，说85k肯定可
以，但更多的话就需要商量。查了一下Glassdoor，Ford Research Engineer平均薪
水在93k，不知道该报多少？有经验的说说。
PS：当初是HM主动写信问有没有兴趣，电话面了1小时，没有onsite。该职位原来不支
持工作签证，所以HM和HR扯了近2个月来解决这个事情。由于目前的工作不错，我也没
管有没有什么进展。昨天突然打电话说给Offer。要不是HM用的是Ford邮件，我也是在
Ford Career递交的正式申请，我几乎要怀疑是骗子了。 |

New Haven, medicinal chemist, $105k
Merck, medicinal chemist, $105k
Denvers, MA, protein peptide mapping, $90k
现在形势好像不是很好，公司给的offer普遍偏低，工资都在负增长，但感觉楼主至少
可以再多要个$5k |

I didn't have the problem of intake manifold. but I have following problems,
which all are very common.
1. two windows and one door were out. >$400 to fix each window dealer, but
not expensive if u fix/change urself. parts take $90
2. oil pan leaks. not a big issue since I don't need to topup oil between
changes. but >$600 to fix.
3. the auto dim side mirror faded to the point that the mirror was useless. $300 to fix by dealers but $30 diy, buy a "redi cuts" at ebay, r |

immunotherapy的大药。
要买就是认准它能turn around， 能把revenue 搞到》1b. 这个需要一个过程（93K 一
个疗程，大量的晚期prostate
cancer 病人）。 edge在那里，看他们怎么引导医生。 |

orphan drug 有不少优势，a）7年的market exclusive，b)政府部分和private
insurance 对orphan drug的cover是相当给力, c) fda 批的特别快 （INCY 这次非但
给priority review, 还提早了半个月批准）。还有一些其它隐形的benefit： 比如
orphan drug 治疗的病人数比较小，market的成本小很多，也容易控制. orphan drug
的价格可以开的很高，很离谱。
比如 alxn 的 Soliris 可以开到400K／year 的费用，价格大于100k/year 的orphan
drug 随处可见 （dndn 开到93k 就已经觉得太贵了）
2. Jakafi 是治疗mf的第一个新药，可以说是目前的特效药，而且是传统的口服药，所
以推广起来要容易很多。（对比于dndn要先抽血，然后运到工厂，分离培养，再运回去
，输入）。
Jakafi 目前开价84K/year. 一点不贵。
