to change, the average age of American farmers is 58 years old, and the
situation in China is even worse. The global warming will cause lots of
extreme weather in many places in the near future. Furthermore, the
population of the whole world is growing, estimated to be 9 billion by 2080.
Therefore, there will be a robust demand-supply in agriculture, and
agriculture will be in bull market for the next several decades! |

RJA is tracking the agriculture of Rogers index. You can find information on
wiki.
The reason I put less money on RJI is that, there is risk that Chinese
economy will slow down significantly, and that will lower the demand for oil
, copper, zink....
But agriculture is slightly different, it is not only affected buy oil price
, but also water resources and aging farmers. In the next 50 years,
agriculture can go nowhere except going up.

political regimes have tremendous pressure and incentives to keep the prices
down, well, as long as they can. On the top of that agriculture products
are hard to store and preserve, so you can't really hoard them. Producers
have to sell the agriculture products before it perishes and worth nothing.
It's a very interesting business as both demand and supply curves are very
inelastic.

是传播疟疾的主要媒介，如何有效地驱蚊避蚊是防治疟疾的重要一环。瑞典人Paul
Hermann Miller因为发明了为解决疟疾作出卓越贡献的DTT而被授予诺贝尔奖，但后来
人们发现DTT对环境有巨大的破坏而放弃了。

的杂志上已经有文章了。文章可以是合作的。
原因是国内的经济学农业经济学博士没有美国这边的严格的基础理论和专业课的培训，
统计和计量更是差一大截。还有就是国内的博士英文写作水平几乎等于0，这个在对写
作要求比较高的应用经济学领域是硬伤。 |

O8大力推动种植玉米生产ethanol。仅仅6年，后果已经在那里了。
大面积的原始植被/湿地变成玉米地，水土流失，被化肥污染的水进入水系，甚至影响
到饮用水,流入的污染水在墨西哥湾造成大面积的死亡区，水体生物灭绝。
最有意思的地方在于，生产ethanol的前期后期要花费的能量比生产出的ethanol能产生
的能量多。
