allegheny的lock&dam 3是个spillway，north28的11号出口下，沿着freeport(?)向东1
.3迈就到了。鱼很多，水也比较干净，人也不少，就是太阳特别大，我钓了几次，手上
已经开始蜕皮了。
那儿小嘴特别多，这两个礼拜我已经钓上好几条。最近sauger很多，不过这个周六可以
开钓。
特别小tip：有条子配备望远镜，钓者小心。 |

发帖数: 253 | 3 要说学区，wexford很好，公立学校就很好，还不用花钱，我认识好几个有小孩的都搬过
去了。
Fox chapel 是好，median household income>200k，房子都极贵的。
north allegheny school district，应该是好学区，看见好多卖方广告都强调这点，但
是据说它里面有个学校是比较差的，还得看房子划在哪片才行。
squirrel hill and shadyside好像public school不怎么样，每年交好多地产税，还得掏
一两万上私立学校，听人说的。
找个agent吧，他们清楚多了。 |

Allegheny and Mt. Lebanon. If you work in downtown, Mt. Lebanon is more
convenient to commute since there is (Pgh's only) T to downtown. Otherwise,
North area (wexford, McCandless etc.) is also a good choice. Btw, School tax
in Mt. Lebanon is pretty high.

这四个区的安全都没问题。
中国人最多的（特别是有孩子的家庭）应该是 Mt.Lebanon 了。这是个比较老的区，设
施比较完善，特别是公共交通方便，Bus、地铁都有，且离 Downtown 较近。缺点是如
果要买房子的话，几乎没有新房，都是50年以上的旧房子。
匹兹堡没有像纽约等大城市那样的 Chinatown。不过有几个中国店。比较大的有百合（
Lotus Food）：1649 Penn Ave, Pittsburgh, PA 15222。位于 Downtown 附近的
Strip District。 |

Mt Lebanon is a walking community, there is a cross guard at each
intersection, so no need for school bus.
If the kid is going to high school and your family plan to purchase a house,
then should consider Upper St Clair too, compare to Mt lebanon, it is a
newer community, compare to north allegheny, their radon level is not so
scare.
If LZ really wants the best, then it must be a private school, most likely a
catholic scho |

Generally, Mt Lebanon is the oldest, USC is newer and North Allegheny
is the newest. Houses with best quality and style are found at
USC, houses build after 1985 tend to use more and more cheaper
materials, even for some a million dollar home.

坚持认为USL高于NA一筹。因为好像NA不在美国5%排名里面的。但是同样房子我觉得NA
可以花少点的钱，房子却更加新点和漂亮一点。
关于randon，我看在比兹堡什么地方好像都超4。是不是住在山上比较好一点，地下室
是level的？ |

PITTSBURGH -- A U.S. postal carrier was shot Wednesday morning on Pittsburgh
's North Side.
Police said the unidentified mail carrier was emptying a mailbox at the
corner of North Taylor Avenue and Palo Alto Street just before 10:30 a.m.
when two black men tried to rob him.
Officials said one of the robbers was armed.
The mail carried was shot in the hand and was taken to Allegheny General
Hospital. His condition is not known.

好的学区：
north: north allegheny, fox chapel
south: Mt lebanon, upper st clair
可以参考滨州PSSA的考试结果，都在网上。
同一学区内，不同的学校差别也比较大。
匹兹堡以前是矿区，买的时候注意一点，代理有有关的资料.
另外，有的地区氡比较高。
匹大附近好区的房子比较贵，而且离east liberty, downtown
近，常有案件发生。 |

得很reasonable啦。贵点的都是好学区，north allegheny, sewickley, fox chapel,
mt lebanon and upper saint clair都是好学区，可是20几万在mt lebanon也能买到不
错的房子啦。就更不要说Monroeville了。我在mt lebanon住了好多年，所以算比较熟。
9万多在这里相当不错的薪水啦。我觉得养活全家是一点问题没有。 |
