父亲John Linton Stuart是1868年来中国传教的老传教士，母亲Mary Louisa Horton开
办了杭州女校。两位先后都死在中国，最后也都葬在杭州。
司徒雷登的家庭算是美国南方白人吧。父亲生于Kentucky，母亲Alabama，妻子Alabama
。按现在的划分属于标准的红脖子。他的口音据说也是浓重的南方味道。
1919年1月司徒雷登被聘为燕京大学校长。（五四运动发生于1919年5月4日）。差不多
同一时期，他还是清华大学的校董之一。不是杨澜那种冒牌校董。
很有意思，燕京大学1952年就没有了。但是，燕大和哈佛搞得哈佛燕京学社（Harvard-
Yenching Institute）仍然存在。这个Institute的经费来自Charles Martin Hall的基
金会。Hall这哥们儿是美国铝业大王，据说他把Aluminium错写成Aluminum。于是美国
的铝字就这么定下来了。他的著名专利还能在USPTO的网站上看到。

别不舍得引火油, 使劲倒, 让它烧一段时间就点起来了
不一定要自己买烧烤架, 可以跑到公园里去占用一两个炉子, 风景也好. :)
(其实我也没用过自己的架子)
公园的炉子: 买炭(charcoal), 引火油(starter?), 铝箔(aluminium foil)
可以准备个纸板扇扇风:), 翻肉用的夹子或铲子
准备一次性盘子, 杯子, 叉子, 小刀子, 如果要羊肉串的话去买些竹签
对了去walmart买两个小刷子来刷酱, 好象在厨房用品那块
就喝soda好了, 方便, 愿意喝点啤酒也行, 来点chips, 玉米的或土豆的
肉么, 看着办了, 反正什么都可以烤
我所喜欢的(我是个肉食动物): 羊肉(串), sausage, 鸡(腿,翅,胸), 猪肉(排)
调料看着办了, 爱吃什么就可以吃什么, 俗的有k |

if it's steel you can somewhat repair it, and if it's aluminium it's still
more error tolerant than carbon. if it's carbon, especially in the case of
seatpost, the room for error is much smaller.

Local 推荐 CAAD10 5, 不过frame 不是碳纤，但是以后的service肯定用得上
Performance 的Altamira 3 LE看起来不错， 全碳纤， 可是纽约附近没有Performance
的店。。

Ridgeback MX-14，在weebikeshop上面订的，正好search的时候看到他们有Ridgeback
MX-14的clearence，原价240多，给他们打电话，问他们有没有$150的clearence，网上
没有。
这辆车很好，是aluminium 的车身，不是很重，英国车，14寸的车不好找，islabike也
有14，可是价钱要多一倍，舍不得花那么多。
现在好期待这两辆车啊。 |

这些估计速度比较慢，重量倒是相对比较轻。老大除了考虑sea eagle，在inflatable
世界里，两个品牌是鼎鼎大名的，Zodiac和Achilles，产品分军用/即军事，救火，救
灾，工作inflatable，这些价格不菲，用几十年没问题。
民用部分，这两家公司的inflatable主要是给大船，帆船，做dingy boat用，即cruise
时候，大船无法靠近海岛，沙滩，或者其它的娱乐项目，或者从码头到anchor的大船，
使用inflatable，所以抗岩石摩擦能力较强，一定的抗风浪和速度，基本都是用汽油马
达。
种类上，分RIB，即硬底和可折叠。
可折叠分类后面介绍。
材料部分，主要是PVC和Hypalon，差别主要在PVC抗磨，尤其是Zodiac，Hypalon是杜邦
公司生产，停产几十年还是十几年了，但各家公司依然生产Hypalon为主要材料的
inflatable，原因是一般的Hypalon材料，可以使用高达30多年，一般设计上就是二三
十年，厂家保修至少10年起。Hypalon不怕UV，热带高温高热whatever怎么高，放在阳

说到哪了，关于哪里下单靠谱的事情，我也很茫然，quentin defense那个号称是CNC
machined from a solid billet block of aerospace grade aluminum，但是也没提到
底是哪一种铝。也许多下几单，多了大不了留着当备份？
关于铝材，这是wiki上面的说法，如Hetzer所说似乎7000系列更加结实一点。

答案是用硫酸铝处理种绣球的那块地方。硫酸铝的英文是aluminium sulfate， 在网上
google一下就能找到.
每年春秋给绣球花施肥的同时也用一些这个降低土壤的PH值，2-3年之后开花就会变成
蓝色的。
如果是盆栽植物，建议用peat moss混合在potting mix里，浇水的时候少量用点白醋。
如果是栀子花那类喜酸性土壤的植物，用硫酸亚铁就可以。 |
