我自己比较感兴趣的是电源管理。
我的目标是找工作，想利用这个毕业设计做个让自己好找工作的项目。

analog的本意就是说，没有精确的答案，没有标准做法。

公司N, 显卡芯片公司, mixed signal validation engineer. 正式的title是
hardware engineer, 主要作high speed i/o silicon validation. 老美 manager,
看着比较nice. 他跟我说以后可以转design，但也要看个人是否适合以及他组里人手是否够. 面试
我
的几个组员都是从test转到design的. 组里中美印各国人都有.
公司S, NAND芯片公司, design engineer II, memory IC design, charge pump
circuit, digital block, etc. 老中manager，比较
nice. 组
里成员不知.
待遇: 两个公司都在湾区， base公司N比公司S高 15%. sign on, annual bonus 都差
不多, N给RSU, S给stock option. 公司S 401K match up to 4%, 公司N没有401K
match.

2.green card: N will do it immediatelly,this is the key, choose N.
3.career future: analog/mixed signal ic> digital ic> validation
however, what you do is memory ic, a narrow area, if one day you get fucked
off, you do not have much chances elsewhere compared to validation. In
addition, you still have chances to do design at N. Choose N.

我收到大概20份简历，每个都仔细看了，个别的回了信，给了feedback。最后会推荐3
，4个，希望能帮上忙。
抱歉不能一一回信，一些general feedback:
简历很重要，一定要多下功夫，遣词造句注意要professional，format要干净整齐，不
要有乱行之类的。
如果有Ph.D.,最好列publication。
email communication要简洁，professional，把握好度。当然，咱们之间不用太客气
。从来往的email里，能感觉到有的哥们很proactive，善于把握机会。所以有些书本外
的功夫大家也要注意培养。

第一，他眼里世上就没几个模拟高手；有也死了一多半。
看看今年走的两位，Jim Williams, Bob Pease,就知道高手定义拉。
我只认识一个他比较尊敬的六十岁以下的高手。打个比方，东邪西毒，服过谁啊？
第二公司早freeze了。不信，问问Swanson先。
第三，不是说高手就一定留你。Widlar不就是最后从Linear撵走的（当然他老哥的问题
也确实不少），Brokaw 不是也让Analog开了？
在下不是要打击同学们技术储备的积极性，只是提醒不要被忽悠。 |

发帖数: 3477 | 37 国内也不算新了，我认识不少人03-05就回去了，现在一些公司已经有一定规模了，等
着上市或者被收购呢。那些龟也都已经executive了。
不过做高端产品的的确还不多。这有几个原因，一是高端技术专利在欧美大公司手里，
你就算掌握了，也不敢拿出来自己卖。二也是根本的，analog/rf/power ic 高性能的
，除了长期积累的优秀design，要有特制的process支持，特别是DMOS，和HQ RF, 这也
是为什么和数字不同，这个领域大公司还留着自己的fab。startup量不大foudry不会给
你customized,你去找IDM人家不一定理你，即使给你也很贵。
现在这个阶段，要想自己做，拼IC很难，比较靠谱的找niche application。特别是国
内portable medical领域。 所以拼的不是ic designer，而是FAE。
当然你得有fund，VC的回报预期是3年内，对于ic start up 的design cycle，这也就
是第一个产品刚卖钱的时候。所以后续产品必须跟上，也即是一开始市场把握就很准。
这在国内很不容易。

1.国内有过Analog(2年）和Mixed signal（1年）共3年的IC TEST 的经验。
2.有美国还不错的一所大学的EE的master。
3.最近刚绿卡，所以不需要sponsorship。

我在德州，周围的都是些数字的，然后那些大的analog的TI maxim的什么的都不理我。
。。。或许是经验太少了吧。唯一一个onsite面试被要求从沟道电荷开始推导沟道调制
的那个lemda具体怎么表示，然后慌了神之后再被问电路题目，于是也fail掉了。。。。 |
