copy 50g file, 就开始热了,
看了几个 yahoo 上的 1080p 的video, 就热的可以 煎鸡蛋了,不过palm area 还可
以, 热的地方是键盘最上方 , 但是 一旦 停下来, 很快就凉快了,这点很牛。

Assume a mechanism exists in BT that more upload yields more download. Then
whisper is right that symmetrical networks get better performance than
asymmetrical ones that most of us are using, at least in a theoretical sense.
But another factor in whisper's case is the datacenter -- big bandwidth and
powerful processors may play a much bigger role here than symmetry or not.

是不是上皮干细胞没有很合适的研究手段
我当时看他和clevers的Lgr5 neutral drift文章感觉好cool
但是后来发现好多Paper用不同marker都argue他们的结论,认为asymmetric是主流。
不过clevers后来说你们用的不是authentic stem cell marker...
Simons应该去祸害血液干细胞,发育的lineage清楚多了

development of the board. This process, from bio PhD to getting good job and
position from another field, is not an easy way out. Because most of the
time you need to go opposite way as the majority does around you.

The radial glia cells divide asymmetrically and produce precursor/immature
neurons, which migrate along the radial process up towards the cortical
plate.
Neurons were born first,the glia cells were produced later during cortical
development. Both are originated from the radial glia cells. Recently there
are findings suggesting that glia cells divide locally at the upper cortex
to increase the glia population.

云老师发了个贴说清华目前的找人标准,很多人不相信。特地调研了一下清华生命学院
最近回去的人的情况,如云老师所说,绝大多数都有2cns,如果只有一篇cns,那基本
上还有>2的子刊。这个不仅仅局限于胖老师经常说的结构生物学,而是所有方向都基本
如此。
当然这些新回去的绝大部分都是千青(有些不是的是因为回去那一年千青还没开始)。
网页上的Title有的是教授,有的是研究员,估计当时还没有统一。但校内一律都是副
教授,也就是相当于这边的AP。我还特地打听了一下,国内的TT制度好像没有Tenured
Associate这一档,清华5年考核通过了就是正经的full professor。
有些老师看不上国内的科研,我就仅列出两位回国后的publication,咱就不说颜宁等
这种Early T的个例了。说两个没太有名气的,还没有评上T的,各位老师可以参考一下

这个问题问得好。专门对干细胞衰老的研究好像没有。因为干细胞的传统定义就是life
long maintenance.理想得被定义为永远具有更新能力。自然不具有衰老问题。
我也在琢磨这个问题,如果在病理状况下,比如我contituional activate某signal
pathway 来不停的激活qienscent stem cell,那他们会不会最终衰竭。再比如糖尿病的
创口不愈合是否就是由于干细胞的提早衰老导致?
不对称分裂的行为在干细胞里研究很多。如楼上所说,在低等生物里常见到
asymmetrical division. 以此来维持stem cell population的总数问题。但在
mammalian里,不对称和对称分裂都有。比如复层化前的上皮干细胞的不对称分裂就类
似与
drosophila的 germ cell。symmetrical也不少 好像satellite cell就是, 对称分裂在
群体水平上,有的give rise to two progenitor, 有的give rise to two stem cell.

有些看上去是对称分裂(symmetric division)实际上却是不对称分裂(asymmetric
division),并且有aging存在,例如fission yeast. 当然此结论目前还有争议。

Yukiko和Xin好像都是M. Fuller实验室出来的,都是以果蝇germline stem cell为模型
做,她们两个人合作很密切。
Yukiko主要做GSC中心体对Asymmetric division的影响。她也用Brdu标记(之后用某种
酶降解template strand)看染色体在是不是优先分配到stem cell里,具体文章我没仔
细读过。
Xin是做histone不对称遗传的,前两年发了篇Science报告现象, 现在在接着做机制,
具体的就不说了哈。
