the battery tab => click the button "battery maintenance"
read the instruction on this page, clearly higher battery charge level
deteriorates the battery life, so if you mainly use your laptop with the AC
power plugged in, you'd better decrease the (re)charge threshold
I think 70-80% would be much better than the default automatic level (
between 92-96% )
Also, you may need activate the periodical alert to reset the gaug |

What you need is a UPS.
You can make one very cheap using an old but working ups and just need a
deep cycle battery. (you can even use regular car battery)
I made one using a almost free apc ups (battery was bad), got myself a very
large vrla (agm) battery that was designed for train use.
Works perfect, can pump water out for one week.
You can search youtube for videos.

both on input and output if you buy one)
12v AGM VRLA batteries battery made by enersys (designed for train use).
Very large at 400 lb each, I use 2 of them. (government surplus $80)
I have never run pump 1 week straight, but I have test the system using a
1500 watt heater, after 1 full week (168 hours), I still have more than 60%
battery power left.

200% ~= 30Ah.
so you need 4x 12V, 30Ah lead-acid batteries and any battery charger rated
for 48V.
battery costs 4x$100 plus $100 charger and some cables and enclosure... you
have a ~$600 project. |

the 2nd hand EV market is not big enough to make a clear judgement.
but overall, EVs are know to have much longer lifespan compare to ICE cars.
they also pay for themselves over the years by less fuel cost and less
maintenance.

good ratings for their third-party replacement batteries. I just grabbed a
couple of NB-6L batteries for my Canon Powershot S95 for $3.60 each (
originally $4.80).
Supposedly works for all Maximal Power Batteries sold by Amazon, but I only
checked for the NB-6L.

look at the 12v Lithium-Ion combo kit that they are offering, it's only $139
for both tools, plus the extra battery (3 batteries in all). I bought one
myself, and it's working GREAT. Check out the reviews...amazing power for
these little guys.
It's nice to not have to carry around my 18v Milwaukee everywhere I go.
