2）有没有办法能初步先检查一下Harddrive （在买Cable前）？

（不知道能不能收cable里的模拟信号），ATSC的卡接收空中的数字信号，QAM接收
cable中的数字信号。
我打算买一个ATSC/QAM的卡（Kworld），看了一下review，别人说由于现在cable公司
把许多数字电视都加密了，所以卡的QAM功能形同虚设，收不着什么能看得频道。
Newegg上对这个卡的ATSC功能评价差别很大，有的说挺好，有的说信号很弱，也许有地
点差异。
现在我的问题是，如果我买了这个卡，用不上它的QAM功能，ATSC接收的信号又弱，那
我有可能用这个卡从cable接收模拟信号吗？还是说必须要买一个带NTSC功能的才行？
其实我的要求不高，我就看看三大network就行了，平时听听新闻什么的。另外貌似房
东只定了Time Warner的high speed internet,因为我只看到一个类似宽带猫的东西。
像我这这种情况，选择什么样的电视卡比较合适啊？谢谢。 |

Several types of video card support the output of VGA signal through
selected pins of HDMI port. Then you can directly use a HDMI-VGA cable.
Remember, the cable only changes the phiscal pin layout, but not the signal.
it is VGA signal from the start.
Likewise, there are several video cards which support the output of RGA
composite signal from a VGA port, then you can directly use a VGA-RCA cable

和comcast internet cable 不能互用。comcast 只负责线连到房子，不负责房子里线
的问题。所以我要么用dish network的internet service, 要么请contractor重铺
comcast internet compatible的cable.
我们主要是用internet, 是不是comcast好过dish network?

in distances. The longer the cable, the more difficult it is to maintain a
high frequency signal without degredation (as you seem to know).

新cable是452x，22股，看起来很不错。价格$14，相当的靠谱。等我用一段时间没问题
的话，再给大家推荐是哪家。
网上找了几种绑箭台拉线的方法，最后用了这种。觉得它简洁，更大的好处是，cable
转了方向也没有问题，把另一头拉出来用就行。还有一种拴DLOOP的方法，但觉得那种
方法虽然可以调整方向，但DLOOP滑动的可能性要大一些。而且拴一个大D很占地方。
新的cable没有加roller serving，也许是看到原来的bow就没有加，所以没有加，下次
可以在说明里面说要加roller serving，但这不是什么大问题，我自己给它加上了。这
次没有用mono的渔线，因为我感觉到用渔线的摩擦噪音太大。这次是用的end serving
，没有啥明显噪音。 |
