Since usually the I-94 expired in 6 month, why not visiting Canada or Mexico?
From Canada or Mexico to U.S, the Visa is still valid (1-year) and it gives
another chance to enter u.S. and the Officer would issue a new I-94, which
shows new length of stay.
Wonder whether above is feasible or not. Discussion welcomed. |

re-enter US. My US visa already expired (but I have my valid I-94), and I
changed my visa status from F-1 to H1B in the US not from my home country.
Is there any problem you can think of that I may have when I re-enter US? I
was told as long as I-485 not submitted, there will be no problem to re-
enter the US from Canada and it won't affect my green-card process, am I
right?

You could see the details in a pdf file when you log in the cic canada syste
m if you got approved for sticker. But there is no "approved" word in this p
df. It just said "a decision has been made" in my case.

She can try to apply US schools for the next year, but not sure if it is easy
to transfer from a Canadian school to a US school. She need to apply a US F1

to get back US if it's just a short visit.
you can mail application and other stuff to canadian consulate in LA and
they will mail it back in 2 weeks or so.
As for I-94, I am not sure if you land Canada in air-plane. We drove across
the border and I vaguely remember we didn't need to give I-94 away. On the
way back to US, they took a look at the passport and old I-94 and let us in.
No new I-94. |

Hi, I mailed all the documents to Canada Consular in LA two weeks ago. I
didn't receive any confirmation or notification or whatever telling me it
has been recieved and has been processed.
(I knew it was delivered by USPS notification only).
Is it normal? Can you share your experience? You will receive your visa in
mail w/o any notification prior to?
