常在汽车版块潜水，知识贴，广告帖，打架贴，经验帖，都让我受益匪浅，感谢大家好
帖。到oil change工作3个多月，阅车无数，今天给大家汇报下，我们眼里车子的质量
，也算是回馈论坛。
我们全家是91技术移民，在国内大学里教书，到了这边才发现，给新移民的语言课，除
了领教世界各地版本的英语发音，几乎是浪费时间。听老移民的建议，直接找工作。上
网一搜，一没语言，二不能独立开车，三文凭工作经历不被承认，只有找labour。最后
看到这家Oil Change店在招人，大着胆子和老板吹牛，在国内上过一个星期汽修班，开
车30小时，汽车技术书读过几本。竟然被录用了。
开始培训。脏，累，危险，最低工资。头一个月，每天手上胳膊上带着伤，精疲力尽回
家，老板还是嫌你干得慢。资本家的钱不好挣啊，呵呵。
好了言归正传，说说我的工作内容，和对经手的车子的印象（待续）

今天下午全程参与了Cupertino Council member meeting，从最开始，cupetino 的市
长 Gilbert Wong (此人是不是民主党？)就搅混水说John A. Pérez已经withdraw了
SCA 5，问是不是应该把这个特殊meeting的SCA 5议题拿掉？ 2个白人counciler回应说
： 目标已经没有了，还讨论什么？
Barry Chang，马上站住来，hold住说： 我读到的Perez 的statement是"H A L T",发
音是halt，哪里有withdraws的字眼？请继续讨论议题！
从整个会议的来，Barry的态度明确，purely stand for 华裔 （甚至可能给人有bias
的感觉）. 他够strong，够tough，hold his stand。我个人很喜欢Barry, 感觉他的
tough其实就是我们华裔在现阶段急需的leadership，而不是那些骑墙派的摇摆。

grips, what you save is the labor expense.
It's worth if you can find a decent grip at $5 at GolfSmith. $3 per grip is
the standard labor charge for a grip change. I had a local GolfSmith change a few
grips before and couldn't find a good grip less than $8 in there. so ending
up with paying more than $10 for a grip change.
I suggest trying small golf shops, They may offer good deals for grip
changes.

你建议干这干那，让你多花钱，以前不太贵的索性就做了，反正上哪换油都是要被宰。
由于前不久车被撞，刚才dealer那里修好，顺便做了全面检查+maintenance, 所以这次
除了oil change什么都不需要. 根店小二一再强调只要oil change，已经能看出来已然
不高兴。
换好之后，往家开，快到家门口一撇油表---才发现这里被黑了---去换油之前一个
block刚刚加满的油箱，就剩不到1/4了！！！！！20加仑的油箱，被丫偷了至少15加仑
的油！
现在我都怀疑丫是否真给我oil change了。
20-30块钱的东西到头来损失了60块钱的油，想想还不如索性开到dealer那里呢，可能
稍微贵点（就是工时给你算长点），但是至少不会偷油。
敢问这世界上还有不是黑店的auto service店么？
看来以后还是得自己干啊！ |

但是公司不会去REVOKE我的H1B，因为律师是我自己找的。
现在准备回学校去读完我的MBA。
但是学校说， 我如果要回去从8月份开始读的话，必须要等到3月22 号以后 才能FILE
CHANGE OF STATUS。 （因为8月份开始读的话，我有奖学金可以COVER我的学费）。
如果我现在要申请CHANGE OF STATUS的话，必须要从5月份开始修SUMMER的课，这样就
要自己多交5000多的学费。
想请教一下板上的大侠们，我可以在3月底再去学校申请CHANGE OF STATUS码？这样
可以帮我省丢SUMMER两门课的学费。毕竟5000多也不是个小数目，对于我来说。因为我
知道理论上来说，我必须在2月16号前申请 CHANGE OF STATUS。
看过板上很多其他的帖子，本来想转B2，但是看了一些人说 这个不太容易过，而且以
后对重新找工作有负面影响。
也考虑过回去呆几个月，重新签F1 过来，但是这边又要卖车什么的。而且好像我来这
