送LD去，从Milwaukee到Chicago Midway机场，去的时候，延94号公路一直可以开到
Chicago的downtown，然后换I55，向南。回来的时候，上I55南，换294北，再上94号。
感受：IL的这个toll road很变态，从milwaukee去chicago，必经94，居然收费（
oneway，1+1.5）！294在大规模装修，居然也收费（0.3+0.4）！！
去Midway，最好还是走294，周六从94downtwon circle走，居然堵车！而且没有事故，
就是车太多！！ |

"Just came back from applying for the Chicago Firearm Permit (CFP) today.
First, the address for doing everything is 3510 S. Michigan Ave., Room 1027
SE, Chicago IL 60653. Finding on street parking was easy. They are open 8:30
am to 3:30 pm. Monday – Friday.

要去University of Notre Dame（South bend, IN)开会，准备完了租个车开去芝加哥
（6/26）玩玩，其实就租一天，准备在芝加哥坐地铁，前几天在Hotwire看到异地还车
一天才20多刀，但是没定旅馆不知道在哪里还，就没定车，昨天再去看，最便宜的一天
加税都要100多刀，太贵了，有什么便宜的办法吗？或者有人26号那天会开车从South
Bend去芝加哥吗？能否share一下油费？（因为已经定了从芝加哥回的机票，所以肯定
要异地还车了） |

6.很有特色的建筑群，不论是高楼群，还是河边的特色建筑，都是美国很多城市不具备

正打算绕着圈儿把附近的state park挨个儿hike一遍。
本来这个季节打golf也是很合适的。不过水平相当（烂）的球友不好找。曾经在
Chicago版上找到一个妹子说好一起去的。可惜一起出来吃了顿饭以后人家就把golf戒
了。
别的活动么，两周以后是trout season。再冷一点可以钓salmon。芝加哥枪法太严，不
然还可以去打水鸭子神马的。喜欢玩枪的话要去wisconsin。弓术馆城里倒是有。
严格说起来Chicago并不是没有可玩的，不过 Everything in life is somewhere else
, and you get there in a car。-- 如果这句话对你来说很熟悉，那么估计你也不需
要出去找玩的地方，打打游戏看看书就好了。 |

出了门，好舒服呀，不冷不热的。
近一个月来每每走到桥上，看到90和94号公路车流，以及远远
Sears 大厦，总会有一种情绪掠过心头，这种情绪很难描述。
不紧不慢的走在大街上，来chicago以前总听说chicago很乱，很危险，
但我好像故意是要慢慢的走，在潜意识中非常渴望那种危险。
估计是到了夏天，总能在路上碰到三五成群的teenager和一些
老黑。碰面后，打个招呼 what is up man, 回答是 fine.
然后擦身而过。
昨天晚上回家，在路上碰到1男2女（白人），那个男的拦住我，指着
其中的一个女的说“she likes you”，我愣了一下，看了看
那个女的，我说"sure? en.., she is beautiful",
说完后，我们都笑了，然后说了声，byebye, 就各走各的路了。
不知道今晚怎么样？ :)

Showcase的，不负Chicago Jazz的盛名，而且门票也不贵，和MM一起应该，加一杯红酒，
是个dating的好去处。旁边就是Hard Rock吧，也挺有意思，不怎么闹。
七月份又有Jazz Festival了，这回我可能再去一次，上次是去年夏天，行色匆匆的，没
能仔细Enjoy.另外Chicago Symphony Ochestra，世界顶级乐团，绝对是值得试的。 |

发帖数: 897 | 46 IP prosecution现在基本不招Bio背景的了，饱和了。我知道的，连美国人西南医学中
心的PHD加上Chicago Kent的JD都很难找IP职位。
当然，如果要做IP litigation，什么背景都可以，但是Bio PHD也就没有任何优势，而
且人家也不太愿意招非native speaker做litigation，除非你1L legal writing课成绩
特别出众。
所以除非你真的死了心要往IP里跳，还是准备找corporate大所比较靠谱，也就是说要
死命把1L成绩搞上去。Chicago显然要比其它几个好多了，当然不知道你去Chicago能否
贷到款（家里有钱就当我没说）。别看那几个给你多少奖学金，你没绿卡，找不到大所
的工作基本上就等于找不到工作，那三年时间不是白花了（虽然没花多少学费）。
另外，deposit那点小钱，连第一学期的书费都不到，就不用考虑了，要是Columbia之
后给了你admission,果断去啊（虽然我本人觉得在芝加哥学习工作挺好的）。
