看了很多security camera的信息，Amazon上的，Costco的，Newegg的
大同小异，一般都是4-8个channel,给你配个1TB的本地存储
带个motion detection
能从手机上通过app查看但是不能把video fortage自动存储到cloud
Arlo倒是可以，但是只有motion detection发现有动静以后才开始存那一段，万一
motion detection没有成功就瞎了
Nest也可以，但是实在太贵啊
其它的我就没发现了
谁能给推荐个可以自动存储到cloud的security camera系统？

From that, I can tell you are not a tech guy or lady at all.
I love IPAS, but as far as cloud computing, IPAS is nothing.
They are at most just use some cloud computing technical in their app. |

不是西雅图的那个public cloud 没有那么大的包裹 面试的时候听说组里就是写 java
api
可能就是普通的ic3包裹 在redwood 正常base加 贰千伍百股(听说oracle没有bonus？
有refresh吗) 比我现在多个15%~20%把 我是小硕+两年多（国内还有一些半相关经验
，但是估计不能算）
看了下组里烙印还挺多的。

另外一个concern就是oracle这样裁员会影响办绿卡么？ 之前一些阴差阳错导致现在连
绿卡第一步都没办。 |

都是基于client/server模式的, 而且设计之初就是顶多应付大型企业的性能, 现在要
上cloud,大家好像就是不改architecture, 就是考多增加硬件来实现, 这个能有竞争力
么?这样做的原因有很多方面, 比如要快点推出来占领市场, 旧的code base太大, 很难
统一协调去改,但是老是这样的话,我们的cloud cost很难跟竞争对手相比, 因为他们都
是一开始的设计就是面向 cloud apps/environment的.我感觉我们公司就没有魄力去从
头startup做一个东西. |

周六去书店拿了一本《Cloud Atlas》。好在周末天气不错，在公园里面，孩子们玩，
我就在旁边读书。看了六分之一，谈谈感觉，没有剧透。
第一章，是Adam Ewing的日记，没头没尾，从半截开始，应该是从悉尼出发，到夏威夷
的一段航程。从语言上看，有一点点Melville的感觉，南太平洋岛屿上的离奇故事。我
是特别喜欢帆船时代得航海故事的，从Patrick O’Brien的二十本Aubrey-Maturin小说
以后，又把Melville的航海故事又都复习了一遍。
很喜欢作者对于语言的应用，特别有时代特色，拼写方式有些古气，用词造句非常十九
世纪，对于喜欢Melville的人来说应该是非常亲切的。航海术语运用比较得当，特别是

读到Luisa Rey在古董音乐店里hunt Robert Frobisher的Cloud Atlas Sextet，找了一

Cloud Atlas Sextet在书中，是Robert Frobisher写的，不知道后面有没有特殊含义。
但是，这一两百年里，好几个人都有彗星形状的胎记，应该是有关联的
人就是实验新形式呢。这么累的书，我是不会看了，就看看abstract和电影算了。
对了，说是题目和Yoko Ono有关，就查了一下八卦。作者David Mitchell在日本呆了8
年，娶了日本太太。上一本小说"number 9 dream"取名自Ono的歌。Cloud Atlas取名字
自a music piece by Ono's first husband Toshi(who was a Japanese composer).

计算机（他妈的不就是cluster)，给用户提供一个单机的界面。当然
懂行的可以看出来我简化了很多东西。但是这里有一部分简化，譬如
说给用户提供一个单机，但是好像存储和计算能力都无穷的界面，正
是云计算的目的。只是这个目的达不到。
正因为这个达不到，就造成了云计算运营模式中的一个重大缺陷。现
阶段的云计算，在我看来，如果没有重大技术突破。只是用于中小企
业和个人用户，对大规模应用的前景不好。
比如一个小用户在cluster上跑一两个应用程序，cloud system给这个
用户分两个节点，程序跑起来了。晚上用户下班，程序休眠，节点让
出来给别人用，早晨上班，一个request唤醒，cloud system在系统里
见缝插针的找两个节点跑这个程序。反应时间快点慢点，没太大关系。
但是对于大型程序，数据在一两个节点放不下的情况下，情况就不太一样
由于云计算无法隐藏cluster本身的复杂性，程序员的工作量和复杂度就
大大增加。比方说amazon的那个玩意里面连消息队列的一致性都不保证，
数据库的一致性模型更加复杂。这 |

看一下google app engine的限制：
no backround jobs. a computation must be initiated by a http request. it
must finish within 30 seconds or it will be killed. request/response size
cannot exceed 10MB. each app cannot serve more than 30 simultaneous requests
. an app cannot create threads, cannot write files, cannot open sockets,
cannot make system calls...

但是用户还需要操心是用A的云还是M的云还是G的云，而且一旦粘上了其中某一个就很难
转移到另
一个。Grid的理想则是服务都应该像电一样，用户只要插上插头就能得到服务，而无
需操心是哪家提供的服务。对于特定的应用，可能更适合其中的一个，但是如果可以选
，那么对用户而言当然是Grid的模式更好。但是商家的目的无非是想绑定用户坐地收钱
，所以更喜欢cloud。当然，cloud这个名字本身是一个忽悠，大家可以各有各的解释。 |
