你convert成Roth时才交税，有可能如果你是non-resident
他们会强迫30% withholding，但现在你401(k)或者IRA
custodian应该不知道你是NR而不会预扣。
注意如果你file as NR，因为没有standard deduction，
不交税的只有personal exemptions。
2010的conversion可以分到2011 2012两年里保，这样可以
一次多转点。 |

When I convert it to Roth IRA, Fidelity provided two options in below:
1. I elect not to have federal taxes withheld and continue my conversion
online
2.I elect to have federal taxes withheld
Which option need I choose? I think there will be no tax withheld since I
use after-tax money. I need confirm it. Another question, do I have to cash
the stocks/MF in my traditional IRA account in order to convert to Roth IRA?

withdraw.
Where oess this "after 2012 I can't convert anymore due to income
restriction" come from? The income limitation of Roth conversion has
gone once and for all since 2010, until congress pass new laws to
reinstate it, which I don't think they did.
Anyhow, if you changed your mind about your Roth IRA conversion, you can
"re-characterize" it back, as if it never happened. I don't know how (or

Roth IRAs offer a bit more flexibility. Generally, you may withdraw your
contributions to a Roth penalty-free at any time for any reason, as long as
you don't withdraw any earnings on your investments (as opposed to the
amount you put in) or dollars converted from a traditional IRA before age 59
½. In that case, you'll get hit with that same 10% penalty. Not sure
which money is considered a contribution and which is considered earnings?

很低才可以deduct Traditional IRA。而他的收入已经高到不可以contribute Roth
IRA了。）而且他的目的本身就不是去deduct Traditional IRA，而是convert到Roth
IRA。既然他不deduct Traditional IRA，就当然不在税表上扣这个收入；但是，他要
填Form 8606去报这个non-deductible Traditional IRA，才可以convert的时候免税。 |

学习心得+背景：目前有roth ira 帐户。但预计今年收入已经超出roth限制，不能再直
接 contribute roth ira，只能用non-deductable Traditional ira 然后convert到

问题1: 可不可以开个2013年的Traditional ira帐户，我从自己口袋里掏5500放进
Traditional ira， 然后马上全额转到2013年的roth ira帐户?
问题2：convert的时候还要withhold federal and state tax吗？ 放进Traditional
IRA的钱是我自己税后工资的钱，税都交过了，不应该再交了吧，不然就double tax了
！？
我自己觉得这样做应该没有问题，但broker再三警告我说“Traditional ira帐户的钱

1. I open a Tra ira account in 2013, purely new account, never open tra ira
account before.
2. I fund the account with $5500 from my own pocket, don't trade, wait for
several days. Then
3. I convert all $5500 to my Roth ira for 2013 contribution, DONOT withhold
any tax. No money in tra ira, no money pay to IRS
4. In 2014 since my tra ira has no money in it, I can fund it again and

如果反过来，把pointer convert 成 int, 那得考虑是32位还是64位的系统。如果是64

after tax 401k rollover 到plan外的Roth IRA。年初已经操作过一次，把从前误打误
撞contribute到after tax 401k的两万美刀转到了Roth IRA。我想再contribute点
after tax 401k，所有pre tax 401k，Roth 401k，after tax 401k，company match
plus Roth IRA，不能超过5万6美刀。年初rollover到Roth IRA 的2万不占这个5万6的
额度，对吗？
另外，plan里的Roth 401k,是不是和Roth IRA一样的限制只能contribute 六千,而且收
入超过规定就不能contribute了?
快年底了才想起来操作，总额肯定超不过5万6，这样的话除了contribute after tax
401k，然可以contribute 到traditional IRA然后在backdoor convert 到Roth IRA，

roundabout convertible car seat，很庆幸刚开始给孩子买的是infant car seat，
因为convertible car seat肯定没有infant car seat舒服，我家的坐着infant car
seat出门，可享受了，一路睡。还有，我家的很小的时候做手术，那段时间，跑医院跑
的挺勤的，所以infant car seat也用的相对多一些。孩子嘛，总会有很多预料不到的
事情。
有了孩子，烧钱是肯定的，mm可以以后少买几样玩具，但是这种关乎孩子安全的东西，
还是不要省吧，一旦有事，后悔来不及。用完可以卖掉，基本跟新的差不多。 |

宝宝现在3个月，那个graco 的22 磅infant carseat还能用（原来计划用半年的，看板
上姐妹们这么说的），但是拿出拿进就很吃力了，用自家的称称起码有16磅多，可能17
磅。虽然不知道什么时候全然不能用，估计过渡期用convertible宝宝比较舒服。虽然
还是喜欢travel system,拎进拎出，上stroller都很方便，但是人家长的快，有什么办
法。
所以要看你宝宝长势如何，具体什么时候难说，但是一岁以内肯定用得上，那还说5年
以后干啥呢？
唉，我也觉得贵200刀，考古了这个版，一年以内的帖子，只有一次target的清仓
roundaround 40刀，没抢到的姐妹很多痛哭流涕，还有一次labeebaby的马拉松卖到169
刀，而且那个只能给女孩子。然后就是babyrus的coupon 之类，马拉松169刀 |
