4 straight 2nd-half collapses, 3 straight non-playoff performance, and outside
of 2007, when the team happened to catch lightning in a bottle, he's 0-3 in
playoffs. More than enough as firing cause.
This is a transitional year, with three new O-linemen, but with the high
price the team is charging for tickets, this performance is not acceptable.
His team lost to Washington, Eagles, and Seahawks, who, outside of their

Sean Payton 腿受伤后，也是在楼上的。
Coughlin 上次在绿湾脸被冻伤了，今年打绿湾时被猜测要在楼上指挥。
所以HC不是必须在场边的。 仍小旗随便找个人仍就好了。
HC也会make call的，看队看教练。 绿湾的HC就喜欢自己make call，有的喜欢下放给
OC/DC。一般没什么区别，都是赛前计划好的。
HC做的估计主要是临场的指挥。就是那些赛前没预料到的（比如override OC/DC's
play)，或没法预料到的（比如暂停，挑战）。也就是取消cruise control，手动驾驶。 |

It's now widely speculated the Giants put him on IR (for a nebulous
hamstring "injury") to keep him on the team. Coughlin made his way into the

结果Snap高了（观众席有惊呼），他一踢成了个linedrive，导致Jackson本来都没拿稳
，结果跟一般punt节奏不同全场都蒙了
然后吹风机镜头出现，解说又说教练布置了要踢出界 |

successful challenge rate in the whole NFL, at 50%.
The reply video never showed the other side with the ball facing the camera
-- thus the ref. merely said "the stands", not " the called is confirmed".

This is one strange tenure in Tom Coughlin's 9 years. No play off wins in 7
of those years, with magnificent Super Bowl champs in two others.

Harbaugh没有去challenge那个incomplete pass，支持人还在那问为什么他不去
challenge。然后Coughlin 去challenge，但是被裁判驳回了。
这又引发了我另个疑问，是说不能challenge对自己有利的判罚吗？当时裁判驳回巨人
challenge的时候说的原因我没有听清。

This is indeed very counter-intuitive, even to Tom Coughlin who casually
forgets more football knowledges than all of us on this board can remember,
because he already threw the challenge flag, clearly mimicking my logic.
Then the ref. told him he could not challenge, citing the "no advantage to
you" mentioned previously, and no, no 15-yd penalty for his disallowed
challenge either.
I will give 3 dumplings to anyone who can clearly explain this. |
