的interntional center申请H1B。因为我的博士学位是国内获得的（中科院遗传所），
学校需要我提供一份博士学位的credential evaluation，用以证明我的学位是与美国
的PhD同等。学校internatinal center网站列了七八个评估机构网站，我进去大概看了
一下，基本上都需要提供postsecondary/higer education的相关文件，包括毕业证，
学位证，成绩单，有的机构甚至需要secodary education（如果没错的话是指中等教育
也就是高中吧）的东西，我一看就傻眼了。擦，现在让我搞高中的文件，我上哪里搞。
这里问一下有办过J1换H1B经验的童鞋们，你们当时是在哪个评估机构做的评估？对于
需要提交的文件，（1）是否需要提供高中甚至更早的文件？我怎么觉得不大可能需要
这些东西啊。。。(2)是否需要提供大学本科的中英文双语版的毕业证，学位证和成绩
单？我大学毕业和学位证只有中文的，而且貌似没带到美国来，大学成绩单好像木有还

发帖数: 80 | 5 在美国一段时间的人，很多人都用过教育文件评估及认证（credential evaluation）
服务。最常见的除转学分及H1签证外，还有考CPA和Engineering license的认证。因为
偶然的机缘，我凑巧与三大评估公司（Wes, ECE, 和Josef Silny）有过一定的接触，
在此与有以上需求的F2/H4/J2及CPA等人分享一些我的经验。虽然很多人不知道这类服务，
但一般人会需要使用他们两至三次：上学，转H1及绿卡，考license，或者需要用国外的
学位找工作。
第一， 三大公司客户服务都不太好，电话经常打不通。有问题可以跟他们发email
，多数都能得到较快的回复，他们都有懂中文的staff或者evaluator，如能打通电话，
可要求与懂中文的人通话(最好装作不懂英文)。这样有什么问题都能得到较细致的回答。
（不过他们一般都不会回答与评估结果有关的问题）如果只是与接线员通话，他们一般
什么都不知道。
第二， 所有的费用，一旦交出，无论什么原因，（除非算错钱）他们都是不退的。
第三， 也是最重要的，我来详细说明一下三大公司的评估政策的异同： |

the first time. A quick reminder here, try to submit ALL of the credentials
you want evaluation/translation. Silny (and all others as I believe) charges
a brand new fee for adding any new documents once an evaluation is completed
(Silny and most others only charge a flat fee each time, regardless how many
documents you have).

1。可以做EVALUATION的几个机构中我查了两了 包括我以前使用的那个机构 都要求国
内成绩原件的复印件要直接从国内相关的教育部门寄到这里 可是我以前是把从国内带
来的盖章复印件直接从我这里寄过去的 他们也收了也都EVALUATE了 请问前辈当初是怎
么做的 是直接寄自己带来的还是要国内的寄呢？
2。申请教师资格需要EVALUATE 本科以前的成绩吗（中学 小学）？在网上填
EVALUATION申请表时要求填从PRIMARY SCHOOL 到目前的教育经历 请问这些小学到中学
这部分需要填吗？

我有想过打电话去中国的律师协会, 但是我不知是否有律师执照就一定是律师协会会员
. (就好像 美国有 real estate license 不见得就是 realtor ).
因为这位朋友没有 practice law.

verification非常麻烦，想乘着暑期回国，把手续办好。今天登上ECFMG，IWA上边看了
，需要登入账号（账号已有），然后逐项填入相应信息，最后交钱。我有几个问题填完
表之后也没整明白。
1. 传说中的186表在哪里？是不是刷了信用卡，交了钱才能产生？
2. 刷了卡交了钱就等于报了step 1考试，日期是一年之内，听说只能延期一次，就是
自己选的日期的最后期限往后顺延三个月。弱问一句，可不可以只认证，不报名考试。
毕竟710刀真是舍不得啊，我知道即便延期一次我还是没时间考。
3. 如果到时间不去考行吗？以后还让考吗？我的意思是延期一次之后还是没时间考，
以后可不可以交钱再考？

same reason as yours (still in process).
banker's signature is just for 186 form so u could take ck while waiting for
credential verification. but ECFMG certificate requires your 327 form
verification. u get ECFMG certificate after u pass 1,ck , cs and 327 verification so u could apply for residency.
