credentials in the reference letters, usually in the second paragraph.
If some of your letters do not have a detailed paragraph on their
credentials, you could put in a shortened CV for those references.

弱，不敢PP. 很担心被RFE，所以过去三个月还在努力攒审稿。等了三个月了，太折磨
人的，实在不想等了，所以上周就去追加PP了。
感谢本版，让我学到很多东西。希望接下来485也能顺利获批。附credentials and
timeline:
审稿记录是用Publons https://publons.com/ 打印出来的，个人觉得挺好用的。
Credentials:
publications: 14 with 4 一作 (now 17 with 6一作)
GS citations: 70 (now 99)
reviews: 42 (now 77)
reference letters: 6
一个SCI期刊[IF:1.5] Associate Editor (now 新增一个Editor [NO IF] 和一个
Editorial Board [IF:3.0])
还有几个Awards和一个pending patent.

发帖数: 1 | 14 11月10号TSC收到材料，14号收到PP，22号晚上就收到case approved。非常激动。
在这里强烈推荐Wegreened律师事务所，非常专业。只需写一个research summary，剩
下的就不用太担心了。让我感觉最专业的一点是，这家律师事务所非常的有主见，他们
知道什么样的case是能过的，知道怎样的表述是有影响，怎样的材料是可有可无的。
比如说，我一作的文章引用有点少，引用高的文章都作者排名都比较靠后了。因为这个
问题最初有几家律师都不接，只有wegreened同意接而且还给了approval or refund。
其实一作尤其是最近发的文章引用低是正常的。推荐信里并不建议把推荐人的
credentials列出来，避免比较，这也是律师提出的。总之，这家律所服务很好，很专
业。
说一下自己的credentials：
石油工程博士，刚刚毕业半年。
文章：journal+conference共15篇
citation：160+
review：60+，两个杂志的AE。
推荐信有一个院士。

发帖数: 1 | 15 四月份提交的perm 申请 上周收到DOL的信deny了，是因为职位要求里面的一个skill没
有在section K里面指明，具体如下，基本上是律师准备材料的失误，但是还是想去
argue一下，毕竟重新做的话，又要多等一年。
denial letter 里面提到的技能是一个还挺通用的绘图软件，我本科的成绩单里有这门
课可以证明我有这项技能，但是成绩单并没有提交过，而且申请是用的master的学位，
section K的工作描述里的一些内容也可以去说用的这个软件，不知道会不会可以争一
下。
大家有没有因为这个被拒的，之后做reconsideration 有成功的吗？或者有没有推荐做
perm比较有经验的律师，谢谢啦！

转法律的途径
如果你对照上面三点，觉得说的就是你，那么不妨把专利法作为你的职业选择的一个部
分来考虑一下。理工科“转”专利法，假设你有理工科的BS/MS/PHD，那么转行大致有
以下途径：
（1）申请法学院，拿到JD，然后毕业做专利律师
基本程序：考LSAT，申请，搞到贷款（或者奖学金），毕业，考state bar，中间某个
时间也可以考patent bar，然后申请律所工作。
好处：法学院是通科教育，你可以以后利用你的技术背景做专利法，也可以做任何另外
一种法律。
缺点：投资大，风险比较大，法学院一般学费4w一年，加上生活费，加上你损失的可能
的工资，是一笔很大开支，你是否保证以后能够有好工作pay off？
注意：如果你要走这条路，尽量上好学校，传统说法是尽量进T14（进T14是相当难的，
law版友前辈专门做过统计）。另外，尽量争取好成绩。
（2）利用技术背景先申请律所工作，然后由上法学院
基本程序：申请technical specialist或scientific advisor之类的职位，考patent

初学者双脚稍微打开是比较容易入门。但是以后练高级的技术，想并拢脚还是需要额外

SCA5 是由民主党州参议员贺南德兹（Ed Hrnandz）提出的一项法案。该提案称，目前
加州大学系统中的亚裔学生比例过高，要求限制亚裔学生入学比例，提高非裔和拉美裔
的入学率。加州参议院1月30日以27票赞成对9票反对通过了SCA5提案。SCA5提案将于近
日被提到加州众议会再次投票。如果众议会投票通过，SCA5法案将于今年11月举行公投
。一旦提案公投通过，加州公立大学亚裔学生比例将从现在的40%下降到15%，那么亚裔
孩子在大学中势必受到排挤。

postsecondary education。我觉得secondary是指高中，postsecondary是指高中后的
教育，包括研究生教育。有的人来美国是先工作后读书，而读书就是直接上研究生的。
8863在4年的postsecondary的限定上并不详细。而且，如果你刚来美国时是拿了4年以
上的至少免续费的奖学金，那么是否还可以拿这个credit，8863也没有详细说。
在Type of degree required上，8863说Student must be pursuing an undergraduate
degree or other recognized education credential。
后面这个“other recognized education credential”到底什么意思我也不知道，也
许也包括了研究生的学位。 |

asp.net pages... it's just unstable, and usually part of operation will
fail due to lack of credential, so far some one here just wrote some
wrapper to call those components through a hosted environment, with
credential which can be set for the hosted wrapper in component service.. hehe |

然后同一局域网内加了一个 server2，拷贝 /etc/passwd , group 等过去，5个用户的
uid完全相同.
任务：在 server2上面 mount server1的 /home/pub，这样在两台server上面都可以访
问同一个 /home/pub 目录，文件共享。
环境：两个都是 ubuntu 12.04 LTS server.
尝试1： NFS (native linux network file share) 。
不成功，因为整个 /home 都是加密的 (ecryptfs),而NFS不支持 ecryptfs （I learnt
it the hard way）
尝试2： 在 server1 里用 samba share 这个目录，在server 2 mount起来。
读写权限有问题。在server 2 用 user,credentials=/root/.smbcredentials 的方式
