去医院和护士还有病人沟通确认的确很重要，我们也要求得去医院！有时会从中得知答
案，不过有时连病人和护士也不确定他们什么时候出院，或许我们跟我们实习的医院基
本都是medical, Medicaid, homeless病人有关？不懂了，不过去还是比不去保险，。
我们clinical作业一开始觉得很难，第一次时班上同学都通宵了，没通宵的也都只睡一
两个两三个小时，现在觉得好一些了，但还是很花时间，病人chief complaints,

省一些时间，需要把美国的病理报告提供给中国的医院作为参考，使她能够尽快地得到

result. It is very important to make sure for days or even weeks before the
test, the patient has not been restricting carbohydrate. Secondly the

oil leak，修车铺诊断的），同时帮着换来机油（我自己买的机油和oil filter），这个
mechanic的人工报价也就是修车铺的一半多一点点。但是更换完了后（修车的过程中我不在现
场），取车的时候发现车子出了新问题，一个是check engine light 亮，后来读了code是
P0102，解释是massive air flow circuit input low；另外一个问题更严重，症状是车子
的档位一拉到D档，车子就感觉抖一下，叫jerk或者jolt。拉动到别的档位就没问题，然后在开车的
时候，车子也偶尔会突然抖一下，和在D档的那个抖感觉是一样的，开车的过程中出现这个现象感觉很
恐怖。第一个问题在取车的时候就发现了，那个mechanic叫我去autozone读一下code再说，当时
的感觉是他会负责这个的。第二个关于抖的问题，车子开出mechanic的house后才明确发现这个问

cover gasket给remove and replace，然后做oil leak diagnosis,主要就是steam
clean and dye，开几百迈以后再inspect。去了另外一家，他们打开hood看了一下，说
只要换valve cover gasket就能解决漏油，根本不用近一步diagnosis，但他们说4个火
花塞以及相应的连线已经被油浸了，需要马上更换。
各位给参谋参谋，我对车不懂，也不是什么好车，不准备花大价钱。目前计划就是换
valve cover gasket，也不diagnosis，因为以我对发动机的了解，也就gasket有可能
漏油，也不准备换4个火花塞以及相应的连线，将近300块呢。

三年前去一个华人医生那里体检 真的只是体检, 没干别的 我有保险还是不错的那种,
preventive care应该是100% cover的. 这个医生把我的test 送到了一个out of
network的lab 那里 还开了一堆根本没必要的test, 而且还把code 用错了, routine
的写成了 diagnosis. 我收到lab 1000多的bill 我和医生交涉很多回 correct code
来回来去 花了我很多时间和精力. 虽然code改过来 但是很多test 保险不cover 而且
是out of network的, 最后 我付了几百和lab settle了. 心里很不爽, 写了个google
review complain这件事情.
结果最近突然 又收到collection的电话 说是这个医生说我欠他200多bill ,这三年期

no matter whether it is a malignant or non-malignant (I am not using "benign
" here) condition, it should be diagnosed and properly treated as early as

malignant diseases.

because it is really uncommon. For the diagnosis of pheochromocytoma, he
would need two step tests, first check plasma or 24 hour urine epinephrine
and metanephrine, if elevated, then proceed to the localization, which will

It coudl affected any part of the whole GI tract, particularly distal ileus.
Some blood work could help the diagnosis and differental diagnosis but

I am not a doctor myself so I am not sure how to answer the question. From
my reading and talking with him (he cannot really talk long over the phone--
-to noisy for him), the doctor's plan seems to be: staying in quiet places
and adjusting himself.
Not sure about the evidence from the diagnosis. It seems he had a strong
opinion himself in the beginning from his own profession (Orthopedist) and

信这种标签，美国很容易over diagnosis。
Over diagnosis最大的缺点是什么？不是怕孩子无谓地参加训练，那个无所谓，而是他
日后长大了，无法买个人保险，一定要参加group insurance. 所有ASD, ADHD等等的孩
子，如果这个健保改革流产的话，成年了没有找到工作的话是完全无法购买个人保险的
，因为这些diagnosis全都属于pre-existing conditions范围。 |

知家庭出来的。真认真算起来，我们现在花的钱，肯定只是我们付过的税的一小部分。
我们在变相的为自己的孩子买单，而不是光用别人的钱给孩子买单。这个不知道会不会
让有些人感觉fair一点？还有，不少州的EI非常鸡肋，最后算下来，和走private的
therapists价钱一样。但是因为EI可以home visit，很多家长还是因为孩子去
therapist办公室哭闹不合作而选择了请EI来家里做。EI机构也是按家庭收入状况向大
家索要copay，我们的EI也要了我们自己保险的信息，大部分单，EI还是能追着从保险
公司要回来的。。等孩子三岁归学区之后，我不知道学区会不会也试图从保险公司要回
来，但是我知道的是，学区的service一般非常有限，很多家长，除了学区那点可怜的
service，还是得自己用着保险做OT，ST，PT，然后再咬着牙自己每个月花上千，甚至
几千块钱做ABA，Floortime，RDI，SonRise，骑马，听统，Aqua Therapy等等等等。为

whose parents reported that they had an ASD, 60 of them (37.5%) no longer
have an ASD.
具体见下面的survey。样本量8万2千。另外，没时间找专家关于某些轻度ASD更应该被
认为是个体difference, 而不该lebel 成disease的原文了。但你可以搜NIH
Pubmedline。我关注这个，只是纯粹从科研角度比较好奇这个近年激增的高发病成因。

从去年的三月份起, 我就象进入了一个恶梦中.
我马不停蹄地联系了儿童医院和学区要求做development assessment.儿童医院的
waiting list竟然要8个月. 我问有没有可能快点,得到的答复是没办法,资源不够. 学
区相比还算快.本州法律规定必须两个月做完评估.从我联系学区后,学区做了一个非常
综合的评估, 包括educational, speech, physical, occupational, psychological
assessment. 既做了对孩子直接的测试,也有去他的幼儿园观察. 家长和老师都填了一
大堆问卷. 经历过漫长而心焦的两个月,终于到了report meeting了. 我和先生坐在学
区会议室里, 满怀希望地想要听到他们说我们大宝只是有些落后. Speech therapist.
physical therapist, occupaitonal therapist的抱告都作了.与我们想象的相吻合,没

3 years old. I personally know a lot of kids who got their diagnosis
between 18-24 month of age.
Your son's doctors were so reluctant to give him a diagnosis before the age
of 3. That tells me your son's symptoms were not classic, or they saw a lot
of valuable skills in him, the kind of skills not typically seen in autistic
children.
You guys should be confident in him, because he only used one month to

发帖数: 88 | 47 碰到过和mm相似的情况，感觉病人们的保险五花八门，很多医生都不是很清楚具体某个
病人的保险到底包括什么。很多时候常规体检保的项目和生病时保的项目不一样。比如
说TSH，如果是甲状腺疾病的患者做，大部分保险是cover的，但是体检就很多都不
cover。
当时没什么选择，就是自己没弄清楚人家保险公司的规矩，要说错，也是自己不小心。
硬着头皮给保险公司打电话。客服不理会，就要求和manager讲，说明白自己如何不知
情，问问能不能给点儿exception。600块看着很多，如果保险公司给付的话，他们也就
付200刀左右给clinic，他们有很多折扣的。当时那个manager告诉我他们保险公司（也
是一家BCBS）有规定，这种情况最多给100刀的exception。他们付了100刀，我的账单
减了300，结果也不错了。
有人试过让医生改diagnosis code.从体检用的routine diagnosis改成一个和诊断相关
的diagnosis code。这样保险通常会cover的。这个得看医生肯不肯合作了。
楼主提到要求过医生只查保险包的项目，不知道能不能抓住这一点让医生帮帮忙了。 |

我老婆今年4月来美与我一起生活, F2 身份
老婆最近被诊断为thyroid cancer, 需要手术+碘131放疗+endocrinologist
我们已经在James cancer center约好肿瘤外科医生准备12月手术
我过去的几年里一直使用学校的student insurance, 老婆来美国以后学校要求她也加
入我的insurance plan, 所以我老婆也在我的insurance plan里面.
但是最近收到保险公司的信, 说需要证明我们过去的12个月也一直under insurance
coverage, 否则的话,这次的claim就要算作pre-existing condition 然后以后所有
