目前是用的一个两三年前用过的旧猫：Linksys CM100，是 DOCSIS 2.0 的，有必要升
级到 DOCSIS 3.0 的猫么？没想再提高速度 (我家这里可以玩到 105Mbps Down /
20Mbps Up)，目前这个速度足够了，但有种说法是 DOCSIS 3.0 的多频道绑定有助于提
高连接稳定性？对 Comcast HSI 我最关心的就是稳定性。
还有，家里停电的时候，用 UPS 给 Comcast 的猫供电管用不？ |

resetting the modem doesn't work. Called Comcast, they said there is no
issue on their side.
I use old DOCSIS 2 for slower speed internet only. |

working fine till last week. All indicator lights are fine but speed is very
slow sometimes. I hooked up the free modem(docsis 3.0) they gave me, it
seems better( I can only go to activation page since it is not activated yet
.) Probably comcast allocated more frequency to docsis3.0 band?
BTW, comcast just encrypted all local broadcast tv channels. It means that I
have to rent tv box from them to watch TV now.

我曾经用过几天杂牌docsis3.0，网速只有18Mbps，换回原来的motorola sb5101
docsis2.0，网速就回到了25Mbps（我用的是RCN 25Mbps）

你这个按他们那个列表，是DOCSIS 2.0 models。12月之后也要更换的。按照他们的说
法，以后需要DOCSIS 3.0 models。
而且他们那个破单子根本就不准确。我自己刚换了个Motorola SB5120，按照他们那个
单子也是EOL的，而且不显示在DOCSIS 2.0列表里。可是我刚查看这个也是DOCSIS 2.0

Docsis 2.0?
SB6121 is a Docsis 3.0 modem which most times require better signal strength
than Docsis 2.0. You will get more drops by using SB6121 if your signal is
poor.
only thing you should do is call a service provider tech let them test out
all signals and check splitters if there is any.
they will let you know what is wrong. |
