配置较高，但是可以获取较高速度（５０Ｍｂｓ 的定制速度，实际可达１００Mbps）
，而且可以多用几年而不至于因配置低而被被淘汰。 |

发帖数: 17771 | 12 这个没有什么特殊的标准。跟vonage等voip provider相比，cable based voip在服务质
量，可靠性方面要有保证得多，但是缺乏灵活性，价钱也高。
cable based voip从头到尾都是跑在cable公司自己的网络上面，从docsis开始，就可以
添加各种QoS，而且所有这些都不需要经过internet，所以说服务质量以及可靠性都要比
generic voip provider的要好，但是也因为这个，所有的ata/mta都是一个private ip
box，不能像vonage那样的，你可以把ata拿走到另外的地方使用。不过既然FCC都规定了
，所有的voip都得提供911服务，还是不要轻易移动ata得好。
俺对voip service有两点不满意的情况，第一，供电问题。普通的POTS电话电源都是由网
络提供，无需另外电源，这样断电的时候，照样可以使用。而voip只能通过电池或者ups
来提供这点服务，而且是非常有限的。第二，尤其对于cable based voip来说，稳定性问
题。从IP的角度看，似乎已经不是什么最突出的问题，可是一个现实是，现有的cabl |

The max throughput of wimax per cell site is just 70Mbps. Now it is
considered as 3rd pipe after teleco and cableco. But its physical limition
is a big issue to me. Now DSL/Cable could provide at 6mbps, the coming VZ's
FIOS is at 100mbps, and new DOCSIS 3.0 provides similar bandwidth. So wimax
is not a good fit for heavy bandwidth applicaiton like iptv or vod.
there is 2-3 articles on telephony margazine on Clearwire and Sprint's Wimax
projects. very interesting.

term called standard. I agree each company may treak a little bit, but
basically they follow the same or similar standard.
usually it's per-user basis, not only shaping, also guaranteed bandwidth.
That's why queuing function is so important for access equipment. It's very
popular that an access interface is capable of thousands of queues.
in addition, the DOCSIS has lots of QoS implementation as well, eg for
priorities... I |

why is so freaking fast......
so what u can do is subscribe basic plan, hack modem conf file to support
150m (actually for comcast u don;t even need to hack, its enabled by default

样不清晰，而同样是netflix的Lost,Wii和GTV一样清晰，所以俺觉得对俺家的情况来说
片源要远比播放器支持的分辨率重要。 |
