conservative and normally vote Republican. Dixville voted for the Republican

这应该是大家餐桌上的热议话题。之前有好朋友问我对Trump怎么看，是他好还是希拉
里好还是奥巴马好，现在的局势是怎样。这其实很难能一句话两句话说清楚，再加上媒
体上网络上大都是烟雾弹和disinformation用来迷惑大众，我想我就把我知道的和我的
一些看法写下来供大家参考。当然我说的不一定准确，还是那句话，这只是我的看法，
你可以不认同。
首先说个背景知识，大家一定要明白，美国总统，乃至世界上任何一个所谓的民主国家
的总统，都不是人民选出来的，而是内定的，这包括美国历史上所有45任总统。前美国
总统罗斯福(Franklin D. Roosevelt)有句名言，“Presidents are selected, not
elected.” 一语点破，但很少有人会真正深思。
有很多学者精通系谱学(Genealogy)，也写了很多关于这方面的书，其中比较著名的是
那本Burke’s Peerage。简言之，从乔治华盛顿开始，绝大部分美国总统的血源都可以

屁股决定脑袋，作为一个留美的小中产，屁股怎么看都在共和党这边。虽然我有许多不
赞成川普的，但是比起来希拉里实在更糟糕。
1. 合法移民不喜欢非法移民是很自然的事情吧。尤其是，很多合法的签证人士享受不
到的福利比如加州白卡，非法移民反而可以享受，屁股在合法移民这边的，必然反对民
主党。
2. 稅稅稅。说起来税前年薪很高，但是税后还剩多少？我不反对交税，如果有更好的
警察更好的治安我双手赞成，但是我反对我们这些合法辛勤工作的人交的税去养非法移
民或者好吃懒做那些有能力工作却根本不交税的人福利。同时我反对现在的税法，尤其
是marriage penalty。我支持简化税法，最好所有人税率一样，挣每一刀的价值是一样
的。想我工资比念书的奖学金翻了好多倍，税后只多一点点，都没太多奋斗动力。

世界上绝大部分老百姓，是没有什么“主义”和“道义”的，他们关心的只是自己的小
日子过得是不是更好。
主义和道义这些东西，是非常高层次的思维，普通人是感受不到的。所以永远都不用去
猜测一群老百姓是倾向于什么什么主义了，事实是，他们不关心任何主义，他们只关心
你如何指引他们获得利益。
老百姓只关心利益——而且主要还是物质利益。所以你看领袖们即便想用某某主义来完
成统一的时候，也要把主义落脚到利益上。比如想用民族主义了，一定是说：我们干掉
某某异族，我们就能过得更好。想用国际主义了，就说我们联合国际友人，就能推翻剥
削我们的阶层。等等。主义只是一种对利益整合逻辑的凝炼描述，一种叙事工具，一种
对假想中的利益的指向，而非一种本质驱动力量。
脱离了利益的本质，主义和道义将是无源之水无根之木，没有任何驱动作用。
所以川普当选，不是什么美国老百姓相信种族主义，而是川普的叙事找准了老百姓关心
的利益，得到了老百姓的认可。 |
