发帖数: 46 | 13 刚买的二手车check engine light就亮了(mechanical check时没大问题)，车行查完code说是catalytic converter坏了，换新的加labor估计要700+。
组里老外建议联系ford custom service因为ford有transferable emission warranty for 8years or 80000miles，打电话过去ford确实说如果是emission system的问题并且warranty valid的话可以免费修，不过如果不是emission的问题或者因为过去车主过错void warranty的话不给修还要收80-150的diagnosis fee。
上一任车主说过去有过类似的情况是因为fuel cap没盖紧过几天就会好，我也倾向于相信他，不过撂了三四天了灯还没灭心里不踏实。
请问高手有没有价值去ford dealer那看看呢？谢谢了！
另外在版上考古了一番，发现XX管子破了，fuel cap不紧，O2sensor，catalytic
converter等啥问题都有可能，请问这些问题都会给出同样的code吗？ |

检。今年搬了家，还在宾州，年检就没过，emission fail。
检查的说service vehicle soon （SVS) 灯亮了。可是malibu有两种灯，SVS（亮着）
和 engine check （没亮）。 SVS亮了好几年了，每次都过年检。现在的车铺
说service vehicle soon灯亮， 要error code但是他们读不出来， 要求我去chevy
dealer 那里读， 100刀。可是SVS没有code可读，这不是浪费钱吗？
有没有大牛支个招？比如去另一家试试?
下面是emission结果。

name for emission test) report; in MD, buyer needs to get emission test done
; in WI, either seller or buyer needs to get emission test done. Check with

去autozone 查过code，读出几个和transmission 相关的codes: (p0731 Gear ratio
error in first gear,etc.).
我的问题是为什么在autozone可以读出这些code, 去emission inspection 的地方还是
说not ready 呢？ transmission 的问题会印象emission 检查吗？
04年DODGE 10多年老车了，轮胎要快报废了，如果过不了 EMISSION不想再花钱换了。

发帖数: 21830 | 18 主要问题是vw的4缸车普遍采用了简化的emission control,没有6缸车上用的那种EGR,
丫这么设计的主要原因并不是因为4缸车过不了emission test,是因为为了过EPA的test
,就得额外加装更复杂的EGR，这样的话菜油车价格就会更高，也就失去了竞争力。
VW在美国的主要问题跟BMW一样，是price,德国的价格，但VW没有BMW那种光环，所以拿
德国的价格在美国卖就有点乏力，有些丰田车托说vw改进emission后就没那么高的mpg
了，现在的很多车托连车都没摸过就来指导大家了，实在让人匪夷所思。你丫这种技术
水平还托个屁车啊？ |

发帖数: 1372 | 20 本人新来GA，前段时间发了个帖子询问要不要先把车卖掉然后买新车再过来，后来因为
知道GA有那个TAVT 6.5%的税，所以最后决定先来了再说，不然要两边打税那就是13%了
，而且新车跑长途高速有点伤。于是上周末用1999的Honda Accord搭载了几百磅的行李
开了几百英里从OH来到GA,忐忑中顺利到达。
昨天换了GA驾照的临时纸质版（竟然还要等2个星期才拿到正式的卡，我还以为像OH那
样当场照相等5分钟就拿到，土鳖了）,今天拿车子去Emission Test,不出所料没有Pass
（EGR本来就有问题，因为原来的地方不用Test，所以一直都没理，现在貌似还有其他
问题，没细看）。问了一下修车，估计六七百跑不了，如果修好了能Pass的话注册车子
要大概$300的费用（今天去Tag Office问的，旧车也要算6.5%的TAVT）。
现在想到了以下几种选择：
1.修车然后重新Test然后注册上牌，估计1000刀？但是不知道能用多久，而且开了2年
有点受不了二手车了，各种问题。
2.买新车然后Trade In，不知道Dealer会给多少。

效到2014年6月。不知道这个inspection 和那个emission test 是一回事吗？
我记得在我以前的那个州，每两年还有一次vehicle emission test。每次提前两个月
发通知到家里，然后我接到通知就去做了。
我想问一下，那 NJ 的vehicle emission test 是怎么做的？会发通知信到家里么？

非常不幸,MAZDA的车子如果经常开LOCAL的话会导致HEAVY EMISSION.
我的一个朋友刚刚遇到跟你一模一样的问题.他的车是89年底323.
但我当时推荐他去的GARAGE信誉比较好,没有要他换CONVERTER,之类的
很贵的东东.他跟我说MECHANIC给他做了CARBON CLEAN,换了个CARBON CLEANER.
我没听说过CARBON CLEANER这么一个部件,或者是我朋友误传.我建议你
先打电话给DEALER问问有无此部件,如果有一定很便宜.自己换一个
另一种可能性是,PEP BOY有一种东西专门帮你过EMISSION,去找一找很便宜.
可能MECHANIC用这种东西洗了一下ENGINE.就让他过了.你去找来试试.
如果这两着都不灵,你可以把EGR DISABLE掉,这样会增加CO但可可以减少
NO,你的CO很低所以应该能过,至于怎么DISABLE EGR,你去PEP BOY买
本MANUAL就知道了.
去别的GARAGE查,这个MECHANIC太黑!绝对不可能那三个件同时都坏了!!

齿轮中间有感叹号的灯也亮了，车子还能开。停下来一段时间后，发动车子。EMISSION
的等还亮着，其他灯都正常，还可以开个30-40分钟，最后一个齿轮中间有感叹号的灯
还会亮。
请教大侠们这可能是那个部件的问题，该如何找修车铺修理。
头一天刚换了机油，不知道有没有影响。

车是dodge stratus:
p0731 Gear ratio error in first gear
p0732 Gear ratio error in second gear.
p0733:Gear ratio error in third gear.
p0700 transaxle control system fault
P0846: pressure swith rationality fault
p0841 Low/reversse(LR) pressure swith rationality fault.
本来还有一个code和emission 相关： p0441: EVAP samll leak, 今天把那个fuel
cap拧紧了一下，然后Engline light 就灭了。
请问这些问题会FAIL掉emission inspection吗？ 感觉transmission 问题比较多，看
了一年除了开始启动的时候车加速上不去之外，车开热了之后到没其他问题。

出来的结果是，三个monitors not ready. 倒是没有diagnostic trouble code，
malfunction indicator light 也是off.
test那里的人给了我report,说去找mechanics.我就顺便在家附近一个shop问了一下。
里面的人看了report说没事，让我在高速上多开几天，至少几十miles。有时候开的太
少，monitor可能没有catch on什么的。
我得确是近一个月没开过这车，今天是jump了起来，直接去做test的。
有没有人遇到过类似情况的？是不是只要多开会儿就能再去test了？我不太确定那个
shop里的人是不是真懂。随便找的一个地方，不是专搞emission的。
