I was planning to get a new car at the end of the year to replace my old
Ford Explorer which has 125k miles on it. It had overheating problem for
years. Now that I want to get a new bike. So I replaced the radiator ($104
parts) and checked the thermostat in boiling water last weekend. Hopefully
this can take care of the overheating problem and I can keep driving this
truck for another 2-3 years. That would save me enough $$$ for a decent bike

From the elementary school, we were taught that
China is a great country with abundant resource and vast territory.
It is not wrong for teaching a kid to learn and accept this because
the kid may feel pround each time when he or she read these.
Now we all know that average resource per person in China is the poorest
in the whole world.
What is scarce and important resource for now and for future?

大概就是那个意思,不过远没有Mt. Everest这种难度。
山上理论上或许可以打猎,不过summit都是远远高于tree line了,
所以其实没有什么动物给你打。

I did not know there's a movie/DVD for the book.
According to Amazon, the review is not very good.
Anyway, few movie could exceed the original book.
A better move could be "Everest" by the IMAX team, which was in the same
base camp and in the effort of rescue climber in 1996. I have not watched

Fore Mt Everest, the permit to climb itself is $70k if I remember correct
In India, I don't know what mountains you can climb with "guided tour", but
it makes huge difference in one "snow mountain" and another.
I guess for those less well known and relatively easy to access mountain,
the cost won't be too high, but again, the risk may be unpredictable as it
is less traveled.
Anyway, my guess is this winter, you at least can get a good glimpse of some
great mountains off season.
