本 周日：9/5 New Students BBQ 在 Squrral Park 下午6点到8点。（虽然是周日
的活动，但请允许我放在前面说。） 如果你是新生，毫无疑问，这个活动就是为您
准备的。历年以来，每年开学的新生BBQ总是最受大伙儿欢迎的保留项目。 不要担心不
认识大家，因为来了就是为了多交点儿朋友。大家从遥远的家乡能相聚在普度是种缘分
、珍惜这份缘分。 当然PUCSSA也欢迎老生们也可以来参加，但因为食物的关系，请大
家来的时候带盘菜服务大家了！:D
IMPORTANT NOTES： 普度之星卡拉OK大赛海选将在现场接受报名！！如果对主持人、
或者有其他才艺（魔术、舞蹈、乐器solo、b-box之类）也诚挚欢迎大家来填报。

Tanaka農場是橙縣最大的有機蔬果園，可采摘品嘗新鮮蔬菜水果，3至6月盛產草莓。 5
月是南加州的草莓季，選個暖洋洋的周末與朋友家人去農場採摘草莓，成為很多南加人
5月最流行的郊遊活動之一。
位於聖地牙哥和橙縣間卡爾斯巴（Carlsbad）市的「卡爾斯巴草莓公司」（Carlsbad
Strawberry Company）是對外開放採摘草莓的最佳地點之一。卡爾斯巴的花田十分有名
，草莓園就在花田的附近，每年從4月中到6月低開放給遊客採摘。遊客只花六元或11元
購買一個小號或大號的採摘筒，滿山遍野的草莓就可任意摘取，而且該公司不介意遊客
邊摘邊吃，甚至提供水用來沖洗草莓，但要求遊客不要把多於採摘筒能盛放的草莓私自
帶走。
每年都會帶孩子去摘草莓的王女士表示，選擇卡爾斯巴主要是這裡的草莓真的很好吃！
個頭大又新鮮，孩子和家人都喜歡，每次去都能採滿滿一車。而且這裡的草莓田管理好
、乾淨整潔，適合小孩子玩耍，不過家長還是要多留意不要讓孩子被昆蟲咬傷，並注意

地方比较小，感觉像逛小镇的downtown，唯一不同是路边种了些tulip
当散心还可以，别抱很大希望。。。
停车的lot很多，free，吃饭可以选择路边的零售小贩。。。 |

能看到不少，但是不如那里集中。那里是号称几个英亩的花田。吃饭，应该在从这个
farm回城途中就有不少快餐店，不必在城里吃。 |

喜。但是town里面也有Quiznos Sub这样的快餐店。稍微出到town外，特别是沿着US-
31N的，就有各式各样的食处了，我比较喜欢Penera Bread。 |

第二天开到 munishing 去 pictured rock 玩，然后开到 houghton住下，
第三天上午开去 copper harber，下午开回来去 quincy mine，
第四天去 porcupine mountain，
第五天去 duluth，住下
第六天往回开，开到escanaba
第七天开回家~~~
Houghton 的话，father's day weekend 是 bridge fest，如果时间赶巧可以去凑凑热
闹~~~
duluth 也有 summer fair， 但是我不知道具体是啥时候，有一年过去玩碰上过，但是
不记得啥时候了~~ |

现在院子里有活动，50Years, 50 Countries, 50 Expeditions的植物展，50个国家
的罕见植物；每日中午12点、下午2点及4点，Main Fountain Garden也会有5分钟的喷
泉秀；截止到10月3号，园房举办 Garden Fest，包括风筝展、音乐会，儿童艺术和手
