lowered to avoid steep drive way and we are having thunderstorms this week.
they already digged down the gararge part, but i am concerned if any
internal tension distribution change need to be taken into consideration,
say, re-design, which the builder won't be willing to do.
i am talking about slab on grade foundation.
now the floor should be about 2' above the gararge. |

忙看看。谢谢！补充一下，原房主住了10年。
1）fireplance的烟筒那堵墙漏过水，所以replace了，但是replace了多大面积，不知
道。07年
2）冰箱的ice maker坏过，好像还弄得漏水什么的，修过。06年
3）Gutters有生锈的情况，每年要清两次。这个正常吗？可能修不？修大概多少钱？
4）部分地板，squeaking，说replace了地毯。这个不太明白，换地毯可以解决这个问
题？
5）屋顶修过
6）gararge的门修过
7）楼下厕所有过一次flooding，房屋保险cover了维修费用
8）据说sprinkler会喷水喷到房子上
9）全屋窗以及推拉门都foggy
10）有一堵墙有点Fungus的问题。这个跟mold有区别吗？
请大家帮忙看看这算正常还是high maintenance的房子？需要修的部分大概花多少钱？

趴车位，两辆车。如果我要一个，landlord有一两要趴在大街上。
小区还可以，中国人多，车子的基本上是DFBB，更好一点的Lexus, family SUVs。有不
少车扒在driveway上。 |

最便宜的，可以周六早上去gararge sale,买些旧的。
玩具这东西，在家里就是添堵。小孩子对于玩具，就像猴子摘玉米，见到新的来了，旧
的一扔，然后堆在家里。 |

家有gararge 没有不重要，hit多在停车场，所以一般我都停在最边上一个位置，宁愿

把门升起来(有个latch可以release lock)，先卸cable，换弹簧，重穿cable，滑轮(比
照好的一边)。最后固定的时候要当心反弹，用个cylinder block压一下就好了。 |

keep the cost within my budget
the lot faces north, and if they can put the floor plan i desired, the front
door and gararge will face north, bedrooms are to the back, mainly face
south and east, while one dining will have a wall to the west. it is a 2_
story. i will test drive today, and see how long it will take during rush
hour. |

牛校，大部分人做的也是没有impact的研究，不过是make a living而已。不同的是，在顶级牛校忽悠起来容易一点儿，做的一点点东西也可以拿出来骗钱。
不过引用我LD的一句名言，在harvard和在自家的gararge里做research没有区别。
如果做的是牛顿孟德尔那样的研究，在剑桥或者在后院里都不妨碍你流传千古。 |
