也就是现在的金钉国家历史纪念点（Golden Spike National Historic Site） 我们的
祖先为美国的经济发展做出了巨大的贡献。
当年打下最后一颗金钉的是中国人， 但是没有一个中国人在当时庆祝东西铁路修筑成
功的相片里。这段历史被抹杀了。
为了纪念我们的祖先， 为了让我们的后代永远记住这段历史， 由美华协会（UOCA）和
著名摄影师Corky Lee发起， 犹他州十多个亚裔组织参与， 我们将在五月十号星期六
前往金钉国家历史纪念点参加金钉节145周年的纪念活动。广东省侨办正在编写《广东
华侨史》，届时会有广东侨办代表及广州南方日报的记者在场。 著名中国摄影师李炬

总共有六人参加此次活动，有一人先掉了队，后来又找回了。
这个Golden Gate State Park 离Golden不远，很快就到。
整个路线是 9-10Miles 的环形，感觉是先上一个高的山头，
下山到底，再上一个底一点的山头，再下山，回到出发点。
有锻炼一天的感觉，风景觉得一般，大概还是树木少了一些，
品种也有限，中间有一个小湖，也不是很美。尽管野花开得
灿烂，但烈日当照，大伙也就行色匆匆。到是山底的creek
旁有很多人在fishing, BBQ还不错，可以下次考虑。
回来去Golden一家中东餐馆吃得烤肉一类的，我点的羊肉，
觉得味道不错。餐馆里面的装修也比较有特色。
最后对我们的帅哥司机的无私奉献表示一下由衷的感谢!
并想问一下斑竹，能否发点鼓励给他? 希望他再接再励。 |

。Lakewood这边就多一些，小学Devinny,Dennison, Bear Creek, Hutchinson都不错，

满额的情况下, 最后锁定Golden Trout Lake （备注： walk in permit不要钱。以往
传真拿permit需要交$5/人）赶上T-storm. visitor center面对Whitney雄山，貌似山
顶上已经开始下雨了。在停车场看着变脸的天空，这叫一个郁闷。。Golden Trout
Lake打算第二天就出来， 晚上再和皮亚子的千岛湖大部队在营地会合。

在学术界里面评价一个博士后的标准很简单：文章，
有少数时候还看看资金（fellowship)。
在公司里评价一个人的标准很复杂，所以猫腻就比较多，直接结果就是玩政治
的人特别多。
在学校实验室里玩政治的人也有，但是因为几个因素，注定实验室的政治不会
有公司那么复杂：
1。实验室的人在本质上都是临时的，除了老板（顶多加上老板娘）没有谁会
把在那个实验室呆一辈子作为目标
2。实验室里的人再怎么玩政治，没有文章没有进度还是要被请走路的。所以
不能光靠玩政治生存。公司里就不一样了
3。实验室里只有一个老板。公司里可能有很多头头。
当然，在公司里，如果你属于那种闪到一旁赚你的死工资，坚决不去做明星
那种人，那么你还是可以过一个安定的小日子的（除非公司准备要垮了) 。
这个就足够了。你要集中在你自己的课题上。然后，尽量注意不要在公用仪器
上造成任何混乱或者污染，那些golden boys 有这个资本去制造混乱，
但是你没有。
不要想这个公平不公平的问题。社会本来就不是公平的，否则就没有所谓的
golden 和non-golden 之分了。
最快的办法就是让他们有求于你，立刻关系就会好起来。 |

今天跑golden gate bridge，真美呀！ mind blowing beautiful,真是喜欢湾区，好玩
的地方太他妈的多了，好吃的也多， 呵呵
跑完了bridge，还不过瘾，就在桥南边找了个trail，跑了一会，看见baker beach 0.9
mile决定去check it out.却跑越觉得不对劲，迎面过来的人都看我，突然间，我反应
过来了，为什么一个girl也没有,都是成群的guys。。。。
