对大英帝国，是爱恨交织，舔损并用，但是损，似乎也损得不够绅士，枉费旧主一百年
的苦心调教。好歹我们北佬还管罗老师叫凤姐，管八爷叫空中蔡国庆。相比之下，还是
北佬们更显文化和涵养。
如果大陆照搬香港人的翻译把Jaguar称为“积架”，我想我是一辈子都不会买这个车的
。古人有云，“予子千金，不如赐子好名”，实在是精辟至极！
前面帖子提到的四辆车，只有第一辆是手动档，时间一长，慢慢觉得自动档开起来实在
是boring得要命，于是筹划着再买辆手动档换换口味。这次换个什么牌子的车呢？考虑
来考虑去，着实死了不少脑细胞。后来我终于悟到了，其实很多时候我们是自寻烦恼。

to back. In terms of seating comfortableness, S60 is slightly better and its
price is lower. In all the other aspects, bimmer is more advanced.
Volvo had been granny/grandpa vehicle for decades, but it's trying to make
itself more appealing in looks and in technology. Volvo has been doing great
in the recent 3 or 4 years. Volvo is still behind bimmer in most aspects
though, but definitely in up trend. |

跟着孩子叫他们外公外婆，人家还不高兴了，说神马大老远跑来帮忙带孩子，还不配叫
奶奶...这哪跟哪啊！
简单说一下我LP家的情况。他们来自中国南方某个不算很偏远的小镇，岳父在镇子附近
的一个乡中教体育，现已退休；岳母没工作，八十年代从农蔬大队转成了城镇户口。在
临街的宅基地上盖了4层楼房，一楼门面出租，这两年租金收入还可以。两个姐夫都是
本地人，家里农村的。大姐夫做销售的，现在南方沿海某省，这两年收入不错；二姐夫
师专毕业，开始在同一个乡中教书，后来考研读博，毕业后去了南方某三类高校教书。
那期间二姐和小孩都住在岳父母家，他们带了这个孩子好几年，弄得来这个小孩叫自己

个朋友的回帖答复一下。也算有个交待：
1. RONALD09 (真•罗纳尔多)：你老婆能申eb1 吗？希望你们能度过难关。在
当地这么久，多建立人际网络啊，不是光投简历就有用的。
= 老婆准备过两个月把手头一个重要PAPER发了就和老板谈，如果老板不给办，就自己
申请。我不是很会NETWORKING的人，只要还是投简历，之前的工作都的这样找到的。
2. ivymerci (Ivy), 有卡就好找多了吧，节约点，陪老婆到有绿卡吧。H1B底线工
资养4个人，没什么问题吧，节约点呗。孩子牙牙学语错过了，好可惜的。
= SAVINGS只够再坚持4个月。家里父母在农村没有收入，还要寄钱回去。老婆的印度老
板只给3万块，保险等扣完后到手每月只有不到1600，租房900，女儿大了，必须上
PRESCHOOL，每月950，小BABY我在看。。。每月最低开支2600

It is hard to ZK too much. Basically design is for aesthetics reason, (kind
of, though is not 100% correct to say so), it is not about external behavior
or it is functionality, as seen in Martin Fowler quote. Whatever about

项目。我和我们组一个老美分到要和他一组。从此奇葩事情层出不穷，不断刷新我的三
观。
此人技术上及其糟糕而且非常懒惰。每次分task，他要么不assign给自己task，要么非
要和别人“合作”同一个task，而且每次都写不完。哪怕让他写个最简单的在网站上
localize日期的功能，他能给你这边写日／月／年 那边写 月－日－年，long date
short date到处混用。有一次他的task有快三个月没checkin了，我们最后急了说要开
会code review，结果，他能把这个会reschedule了4次。整整拖了3个礼拜。而且每次
都能找出让你哑口无言的借口（Rescheduling it. I could not make to meeting as
I was in family emergency as I heard the news that my mom had an heart
