去这个网址按要求做就可以了，不光是GWU的。可能需要几天才能加入。尽量用比较大
的email。
另外，我记得GWU有个学生公寓是990刀，studio,但没有厨房。其他好像都是1000刀以
上的，估计你朋友是访问学者的话不能申请。GWU附近其他studio一般1500刀以上。
很多GWU的人会选择离GWU一站地铁的Rosslyn附近，或者四战地铁pentagon city的
Riverhous公寓，或者五站地铁远的Crystal City公寓。
尤其Riverhouse，N多中国学生住这里。一般大家合租一套公寓。主卧700多可以搞定，
小卧室（无单独卫生间）600多可以搞定。住厅更便宜些（以上均不含utilities,这几
个月暖气费用高，人均60-70刀一个月，这个公寓按人头收utilities费用）。附近有
costco,grocery,还有不错的mall. |

、IMF、WB都很近，实习机会很多。今天在GWU我们这个项目的官网上找到组就业的统计
数据，看了看，还真的是不错（当然，前提是GWU没有在里面添油加醋），如下

另外还拿到TAMU的PhD in agri-economics的录取，请教大家，如果单纯从未来就业来
看，应该选择哪个呢？
原来申请PhD是考虑PhD毕业后可以多一条作faculty的出路，作为女生，不得不考虑工
作稳定的因素。但是，我个人并不十分觉得自己真的喜欢去做faculty,还是希望如果先
能进industry或者专业对口的private,public,non-profit会更理想。请大家帮忙出出
主意吧。非常感谢！

GWU hospitcal is one of the better hospitals in DC. I was working at the
Georgetown university medical center some years ago, and I was working on
some projects comparing teaching hospitals with other hospitals in more than
10 states in the US. At that time most of the teaching hospitals had
finanacial trouble because of high cost of both equipment and physicians.
Both GWU and Georgetown unversity hospitals were bought by private companies
at the time.

我是ISOM（当时叫DIS）出来的，06年毕业的。我觉得学得都还挺实用的。当时我的情
况比较特殊，一进program就找到工作了，于是玩了一年半。其它中国同学最终也都找
到了工作。当时来学校招人的公司，我觉得不太会专门去GWU和Bentley。比如说UBS,
Capital One, Morgan Stanley, MS, Intel等。
现在我管一个大团队，钱不少挣，招的也都是Ivy League跟Stanford, Chicago的人。
UF找工作确实是弱项，因为local没有什么机会，还有就是太热，其实天气不算好啊。
说起学校和program，远远好过40-50名，而且有全国的知名度，受人尊重。
GWU和Bentley的好处在于local也有工作机会，但是我觉得全国知名度差一些，感觉上
不太受人尊重。

program @ GWU, even she recommended me to take TAMU,since she really had a
hard time @ GWU: high fees, not very friendly environment and extremely high
pressure of finding internship and jobs...

发帖数: 63 | 16 也请大家帮助分析一个选校的问题，地方局限在DC，所以只申了几个DC学校，现在有
GULC和GWU的admission，都是parttime。
现在在一小IP firm工作，对这个方向还是比较喜欢，当然也没接触过law的其它方向，
所以也不知道别的会不会更喜欢。
GULC总体排名好些，T14，听说clerkship的机会比较多，但GWU也不错，排名19，而且
IP很强。
综上所述，很难选择，请教大家意见。 |

的partner和其它同事都说上哪个学校都不重要了，主要是要把工作做好。
所里不少人GWU毕业的。
I wouldn't take a walk around the perimeter of the campus at night. GWU's
location is not that great, either, but Foggy Bottom definitely beats
Judiciary Square/Union Station. |

本人国内本科，美国生物小硕，现有以上几个选择。
选emory 主要是因为他家school of public health很强大，声誉很不错。Biostat是里
面最小的系，不过phd 中国学生人数貌似却是最多的。各系之间联系也很紧密，可以自
由地take各系的课程。这点我很喜欢。这里生活节奏比其他大城市比还相对较慢些。现
在最关心的是mph，2年后直接找工作，那到时候工作形势究竟会怎么样。。Atlanta相
比东北部工作机会多还是少？
选rutgers 主要是地理位置好，药厂多，而且是专业是纯统计ＭＳ. 记得有人说过MS
比ＭＰＨ在找工作上优势多？ 因为已经有了一个生物ｍｓ，所以想上一些难度比较大
的课，打好基础，而rutgers Ms in Stat课程会比 MPH in Biostat 更有用些？
Boston还不大了解，我拿到的是数学系下的统计ＭＡ，相比以上两个好像没那么有优势
？ 地理位置当然也很好，但是全部费用恐怕是最高的一个。

分别是Santa Clara的MS CSE和George Washington的MS in Business Analytics
还有几天要回复，纠结该选哪个项目
我的想法是：两者学费差不多，感觉SCU CS项目好点，位置特好，
但LZ只选过一门cs课 (背景Econ + Math minor) 担心念不来。
GWU名气好点，placement record不错，也可延项目至1.5年，
选课弹性，生活花费可能会比湾区低点。
我的目标就是在美找工作，
但没有一定要在湾区或非得tech公司当码农，
（我知道这是很大问题。 。 。没有个明确的目标）
请大神们给点意见，感谢～～ |

gwu的finance毕业恐怕不容易找到wall street的工作，毕业后工资短期内也就上不去

should be enough, but most likely won't be able to save much if at all
most finance phd get faculty positions, but some do go to wall street. for
faculty positions, the starting salary is between 150K to 170K for 9 months
plus 2 months' summer pay.
not very high, probably around 50. graduates would have a difficult time
getting decent faculty position offers, but they can still go to wall street

发帖数: 313 | 43 我现在换到fairfax那边的妇产科医院了，感觉真的是不一样啊，都是单独的小诊所，
设备也很好，环境很好阿，特别舒服，抽血化验都是单独的，都不用去专门的医院的
lab里面等。GWU的妇科跟其他的都在一个楼上，每次检查要等半天，预约也不好预约。
labwork之类的都跟其他病人混在一起，觉得不舒服。fairfax那边停车更是方便了，都
不用花钱，呵呵。看来妇产科还是选这种比较好。 |

Dallas 学费便宜一些，工作机会也还可以。GWU 学费太贵，但是好像高科技公司更密

better than UTD. location wise, i personally would choose the east coast
over texas, you get so much more by being at/near the center of activities (
economic, political, cultural...) |

graduate students of GWU. I am going back to China this summer, so I want to
sublet my apartment from May to August. The total rent for this studio is
1600 include all utility. So you need to pay 800/month only to live in the
center of DC. The apartment is 5 min walk to Forggy Button(blue line and
orange line). The price is negotiable if you are willing to take this studio
to sharing with another pretty girl.
