G is under no obligation to make anything for Apple to start with, let along
that this app is free. Apple pissed a lot of people off by changing and
charging excessively for the new connector on the ip5 and thus rendering it
incompatible with all devices with the previous connector.
Had G charged $5 for the app, people would still pay for it just to stay
away from the crappy iMap. |

gmail用imap，contact用carddav，calendar用caldav。估计是activesync向微软交的

量，sync几天的，超过了要不要自动删除。Mail总是胡乱cache一大堆email，根本不够灵
活。一开始甚至企图把我18年的hotmail全部download下来，尼玛。
当然你邮件少或者只有一两年email算我没说 |

每个公司一个垃圾信箱用来网上购物，一个正式信箱。掐指一算，hotmail已经用了14
年了。我注册的时候她还不属于MS。
hotmail是legacy account，现在主要用gmail了。gmail很强大，不乱搞的主帐号基本
没有垃圾邮件，速度也快。hotmail和gmail在windows live mail (前身是OE)，
outlook和Windows mobile里很好设置，基本上都是IMAP的感觉。 |

outlook貌似同步不了calendar如果设置imap的话
都浪费了半天时间来弄这个了

如果不怕麻烦的话就在outlook, thundbird之类的软件里把两个账号都设置好,然后一
把拖过去就行了,高级一些还可以设置filter/flag把以后收到的邮件也转过去. |

现在收发邮件都没有问题。也就是说在用gmail给server发信都能收到，从server也能
正常发出邮件。
现在的问题是：
1、我想在gmail里，"settings", "accounts and import", "Send mail as"，设置一
个我mail server的邮件地址。设置的时候，需要server的smtp信息。应该怎么填啊？
比方说我的邮件地址是[email protected]

1. 信多的文件夹分成多个文件夹。
2. 不用的email就在gmail里面备份。在gmail里面archive不需要的email，并且加上
label，这些label选择不下载到IMAP，这样就不会显示在thunderbird里面。偶尔需要
这些email，就到gmail里面去找。
3. 勾选自动compress email。这个不知道有什么效果。之前也在自动compress，只是
有的时候compress的时候，thunderbird就freeze，反而更慢了。
