申请interim EAD card。USCIS必须在一周内给你interim卡，或者给你明确的答复。别
到时浪费时间做什么follow up inquiry。那不是害人吗？你都快失业了，经不起那么
搞。实际上，USCIS有非常hiding 的 policy，他们实际上没有也不会颁发interim
card的，呵呵。一般就会给你EAD卡了。 自己google下interim EAD card吧。 |

3月16日移民局接受我的OPT申请，6月4日，OPT没下来。在此之前2次申请加急，传真2
次OFFER LETTER后就不理我了。
cpt6月9日到期。没办法的情况下申请取消OPT，延期毕业来延CPT。就为了保住目前的
工作。（期间很多办法都想了是在没辙了才这么做的）
递交取消OPT的申请一周后没动静，工作也保不住了，就不打算延期毕业了。于是取消
撤销OPT，继续等我的OPT申请。移民局的人保证已经取消了我的撤销申请，我的OPT申
请会继续进行。如果到时候还是被取消的话，他也可以帮我OPT的申请继续。反正就是
保证一定不会吧我的OPT取消。（学校跟移民局联系后，他们在电话里保证的）
6月16日，我的OPT申请满3个月的最后一天，网上状态，我的OPT申请已经被取消了。当

卡，写点经验吧，希望看到贴的朋友更新EAD一定要提前办，现在确实是非常非常的慢。
在交了EAD2个多月，旧卡快过期的时候我办了3件事：
1. 打电话：这个是最没用的，被形式化了一把。把规则给我念了一遍，然后让我等90
天。但接电话的人给了我错误的信息，他说是notice day后90天，其实后来证实是
received date后90天。
2. fax.谢谢版上热心人给提供的fax信息，但可惜对我没有用。石沉大海。
3. info pass:去local office想申请interim EAD。 因为论坛有人说申请75天后就可
以申请interim了。可惜我们这里的office已经不办interim了。一看没有90天，小妹妹
就打发我走。我闹着旧卡马上要过期，我要工作养家养小baby。小妹妹不动心，说没办
法。 这时来了个老太太，估计比较心软，说你去按指纹照相，我们给lincon office发
过去push他们一下吧。她带我去按指纹，没有预约也让我按了。在指纹室工作人员跟我
聊这个事情，我再次强 |

Priority date: 1/2006 EB2 I140已批，I485原来在NSC,后被转移到密苏里NBC,然后转
至底特律,在底特律打的指纹,2009年面试.后搬家到Nebrasak,作了AR11和I485地址变迁
.7/24收到底特律指纹预约,写信要求转到Nebraska,但是新来的信仍然要求去底特律.随
后我继续写信要求换,同时持复印件到Nebraska 8/18打指纹，目前网上没有更新。
第二次更新EAD, eFile 6/2/2010,网上最后状态是6/9，8/18电话申请加速（75天后即
可），但是目前网上没有状态更新。旧的EAD 8/13已过期,全家四口无人上班.
想紧急申请H1B，因为实在不敢再被拖延,无奈学校告知要回中国去办才可,而且需时一
个月.被建议干等到9月2号,90天再去拿Interim EAD.但是本地处理中心早于2006年停止
办理Interim EAD,我估计又得依靠电话申请Interim EAD.
恳请诸位高手指点,如何早日拿到EAD,或其他方式可以工作.
另外找到一个245(k)的USCIS档案,说是我这样的情况可以非法工作180天( |

望我先 申请EB2B，因为这个保险，EB1B等我profile更强的时候再办理，说等一年再说
。这一年我发了不少paper，也review了不少, 我准备自费请律师办理，我的律师也说
我这个case问题应该不大。然后和学校重新提起EB1B，学校经过研究说现在不feel
comfortable sponsor我的EB1B，说等我背景再强点再说，希望我再等一个学年。我
faint。但是也没有办法。大家觉得我还有办法劝说学校吗？可以让我的律师和学校谈
谈吗？我觉得学校可能认为sponsor EB1B outstanding researcher，怕有任何的风险
，然后怕sponsor我就是承诺我是outstanding researcher。还有我觉得可能他们等我
通过interim review后可能心理感觉更comfortable些。
还有一个问题很棘手。我们学校有junior leave，就是interim review通过后，学校会

发帖数: 15 | 43 前些天在这儿发表了关于我tenure denial的话题，感谢大家的建议和支持！
今天是provost给的主动辞职的最后一天，去跟她面谈，要求推迟做决定。没想到还没
等我开口，她主动提出一个delayed resignation的建议。即现在提出辞职，一年后生
效。我还可以工作一年。我的tenure case 也就不往董事会报了，也就不会有official
tenure denial了。看来她也感觉到自己做的不是很地道。
不知道该接还是不接？周五就必须做决定，接了就不能再appeal了，有委屈只能肚里咽
。不接，打官司也未见得能赢。系主任做了很多违背faculty handbook的事，像是推迟
post-interim course release, 不给annual review, 评审过程中篡改review, 等等，
但还找不到racial discrimination的证据. 而provost对此置之不理，尽管interim
review中faculty personnel committee要求她对此进行干预。
