发帖数: 554 | 1 经常来这里看，学了不少东西，但很少发言。今天把我的教训给大家说说。
家里的水池和backboard周围的silicon有点长霉了，上个星期一天晚上心血来潮决定重
新打一下。翻了翻柜子，发现以前买的一桶没打开过的silicon。已经过期了，就想看
看是不是干了。挤出来一看，还没干，就决定不跑出去买了。第二天早上起来一看，还
跟刚打完的时候差不多。晚上回来，还是差不多。上网一查，很多人都说过期的
silicon的问题就是永远都不会干！甚至有些还差几个月过期的就有类似的问题了。结
果昨晚我被迫花了4倍的时间清理，然后再重新打胶。。。
所以记住，过期的silicon不是干的，而是永远不会干！要用过期的或快过期的silicon
的时候，一定先挤出来点儿，放一天试试。I learnt it in the hard way... |

关于Milgram以及他的这个实验最近刚出了一本传记，书名叫：
The Man Who Shocked the World: The Life and Legacy of Stanley Milgram
此外，APA的ethic code以及IRB的规定可不是因为这一个实验才弄出来的，50-70年代是
所谓社会心理学的黄金时代，什么样的实验都有，想象力贼丰富，搞多了搞出事，才有了

U did so bad in Logistic regression…When you answered MLE (without any further info), the interviewer already knew your background is very weak…
There is no close form MLE. You need to either use Newton-Raphson or Iterative methods.

early the night and decide to find a casino to play some poker before the
next day's morning flight. Bought in $100 and came out $146 in 2-3 hours,

长介绍，前晚6时50分，他们接到一名自称北大学生的女生报警，她的两名同学(一男一
女)早晨去龙口涧风景区游玩，但到现在却跟他们失去联系，怀疑他们走失。
昨日中午，冯所长接到同样参加搜山的北大保卫科通知，说两名学生已经跟他们联系上
并汇合。
据门头沟警方掌握的情况，这两名学生游玩后当晚在旅馆投宿，随后关掉手机。
第二天，两人开机后发现学校正在寻找他们，立即与校方取得了联系。
“这属于一个误会，虚惊一场。”昨晚，北大新闻发言人赵部长证实了该消息。他说，
学生周末出去旅游是个人权利，学校无权干涉。

惯爱折磨学生的老师，说自己对paper的判分很松的，而且她也不可能有太多时间把每
个人的paper都从头到尾都读了。结果我的一个最好的朋友，非洲来的，以前学的是
british english , not american english,paper中learn的过去式都写的是learnt而
不是美语中的learned，文章中所有的learnt都用红笔勾出来，还从paper的总分了扣了
几分。我的朋友跟她说这样的拼写也是对的，但她就不承认。朋友说我明天给你把字典
带来，她说已经给的分不能更改。
其中一次儿科考试，上课时她说２小时，第二周考试时计算机上显示３小时，我以为时
间变了，就慢慢答题。结果还有１５分钟时她提醒大家还有１５分钟剩下，我当时就
panic了，她说尽你最大努力答题，不给延长时间，于是我用了１４分钟答完了大概３
６题，事后虽然我通过了，但是考了个低分数，感觉不公平，而且已经有几个同学在考
试中间也发现了时间不对的情况，都举手问她了，说明这不是我一个人这么认为的，既
