发帖数: 17771 | 1 在网上看上一个壁炉门，就买了，买回来发现不太好安装，其实不是门的问题，问题在
俺家的壁炉没有那个lintel bar，网上看了一下，似乎大部分壁炉都有这个lintel bar
，但是俺家的壁炉门框不是砖头的，是混凝土加外面贴的砖面，所以用不着lintel bar。
没有lintel bar如何安装壁炉呢？网上查了一下，好像壁炉都挺标准的，只要有lintel
bar安装就很简单。记得在一个朋友家看到他家的壁炉门是粘到壁炉门框上的，可是不
知道该用什么胶，有谁知道？

西方的建筑文明从希腊的classical order开始，到罗马大量使用arch从而解决承重问
题，为未来建筑样式的多样性创造了条件。500-1000年发展起来的dome，barrel vault
，以及哥特时期的pointed arch，rib vault都是由此继承和传承下来。
西方建筑文明几乎没有间隔，尤其倾注中世纪时期人的极大心血和心思，除了罗马帝国
结束到欧洲国家雏形成型之前的公元500年-900年的期间，都一直进步发展。（即使在
这一间隔，东罗马的建筑也继续发展，并且形成了自己的风格，穆斯林的众多圆顶建筑
就受到了东罗马hagia sophia等建筑风格的启发。）所以古希腊罗马文明的建筑文明从
没有间断过，甚至影响力极大。
所以说到18世纪以前的建筑艺术，西方建筑和古罗马一脉相承。绝对不是钢筋混凝土的

发帖数: 23 | 6 我一开始提到的中国建筑，没有否定中国建筑艺术初期设计亭台楼阁的水平，这个是原
创，而且在东方的影响力非常大。我的point一直是说中国自从秦汉发明斗拱和砖瓦以
后，建筑上1500年没有更多创新。无论从技术还是建筑材料。
另外一直没有突破文明初期的post and lintel的思维定势。这个是新石器时期就有模
板的，中国一直用到民国。如果说民居图简单方便，那贵族建筑没有资金时间约束应该
可以看到最高成就。我们的最高成就故宫也无非就是装饰更高档，空间更宽敞，柱子更
高更大，本质没有什么变化。把一个普通的东西弄大，不能算创造力。
瓷器是中国的特色，没有人否认。我这里说的不是手工艺品和书法绘画，是建筑。
至于砖头，它的应用始于两河流域，很早就传到西方，西方从来没有山寨中国的bricks
，他们的建筑是bricks and stones.很多城堡和城墙不都是早期砖建的？
建筑材料有选则的余地，技术有变通的空间，选砖还是石头只是选择问题。
老百姓说“几百年才建完，我住哪？”，这可以说好处是中国的文化比西方更兼顾人。
于此对应西方的建筑水平成就也因此在高成本的保证下更高。问题皇家什么时候考虑过

现在inspection回来了，简直是鸡蛋里面挑骨头，还让修。例如gutter到最底下引离墙
角的管子没了
（那个其实是在车库里，某次掉了就忘了接回去），下到地下室的楼梯没有扶手要让我
们给装上，
soffit的一个nail松了，车库门上缘的lintel部位有点锈，车库侧门的门框有些损坏，
空调压缩机放
的不够平，等等小毛病。agent竟然还给替我们去估价，估回来说1000多，钱是不太多
，但是agent看
来是忘了他替谁工作的了。
你们说是我小气了还是买家太想占便宜了？我觉得她让我们修的跟合同里列的那些都没

1. 没有basement stairwell drain 和 exterior surface drain 这个是啥？问题大
吗？
2. gutters, downspouts & extensions 坏了，需要换，大概多少？
3. metal lintel above the window已经开始变坏，好换吗？大概需要多少？
4. 房子侧边有一个门进屋子，the threshold is negatively pitched towards the
home and water has enter in the past and seeped down onto the wooden
framing
of the beasementbelow the door. no visible wood decay--but this is a
conducive condition. 这个有办法改进吗？
5.garage的顶和门有问题，这个换起来麻烦吗？大概多少？
6. 上2楼和下basement没有rail，这个问题大吗？

就可以开挖大窗洞了；改动大的话，不好办。
