1. 很多，willowtree那一块几乎都是中国留学生。
2. 我觉得aa的生活成本比michigan的有些其他城市要高。一个1bed apt, 跟别人share
living space, 要差不多500美元/month。michigan有些地方500美元可以租到1bed w/
out sharing living space with other people.
3. typical mid-west weather. cold in the winter, average temperature in the
middle 30s. 夏天80来度。
ypsilanti, a town just east of aa, i been told by other ppl that it is not a
safe place to live, so i guess you should not go there by yourself at night
, might get robbed, :(.

also, people on i-75, especially close to the detroit suburbs, drive quiet
fast; speed limit is 70, but on average, people drive close to 80 if not
higher. a bigger car is definitely safer when a car accident happens.
on the other hand, a bigger vehicle also means lower mpg, more expensive to
buy and own.
bottom line, in michigan, if you have the money, buy a bigger vehicle, your

目前要随家人搬至michigan
想求工作机会refer
detroit到ann arbor之间都可以 比如troy novi royal oak 都是理想的工作地点
research associate 到lab manager都行
做过GLP写过SOP也做过research projects
大部分技术都行 爱做presentation 性格自来熟^_^
能 refer U of Michigan也好

原贴楼主的感受很有代表性。如果是从东北那些州搬到密歇根，最开始肯定会有类似的“惊奇”。当年我也有类似的感触。到密歇根一年之内，我产生了好几个“第一”：
第一次遇到几乎不掩饰的共和党大学教授；
第一次在公共场合（郊野公园）和一个年长白人争吵，因为那斯说话不着调。
第一次在工作场合被一个同事熏到。真的，就是衣服一年没洗那个味道。
第一次被人评论我原来那个周的驾照（虽然是以羡慕的口吻）。
第一次发现在很多路口不能左转，要先直行过去，再弄个U turn。后来问了本地人，说这还有个专门的名称，叫Michigan left。
第一次发现帅哥美女比例如此之高， 尤其是帅哥质量，绝对明显超出东部。也第一次发现肥胖人士也如此之多。

我本来以为美国要全面左转了，现在看来美国的自我纠错还是不错的， 令人振奋的。

真希望加州也通过 Right to work law. 不过加州实在是太蓝， 全美国最蓝的州。 一

not conclude that Chicago is better than Toronto. A city covers downtown

发帖数: 4748 | 31 九月二十八早就出发Michigan看红叶。第一站就是无homestead dam。
根据下面的视频，这个地方可以钓salmon和看salmon跳坝洄游的地方。

我们去的时间稍早，看到了不少salmon跳坝。坝下钓salmon的人有一条king，总体上非
常slow。
九月三十日早上去了著名的tippydam。我们到tippydam都差不多十点了，我就近找了一
个dock就开始钓了。通过偏光太阳镜可以看到salmon在交尾。大概5-6条salmon在眼前
的深坑里面“跳舞”开始用3尺的leader，甩了2小时没有动静。想想可能leader太长了
，减为
2尺，甩了一个小时，中鱼一条。历尽辛苦，landing了第一条小king salmon。
中午在坝下烧烤一些东西吃了。吃过饭，我到坝下看了看，中鱼还是挺多的。坝下一个
坑有几个人撤了，我就占过去。很快中鱼一条，力量还算挺大的。最后下游的人帮助我
，可惜抄跑了。接着上游一个人中鱼，我帮助他抄上来。现在上下游都处好关系了，地

枪在手，打起跑攻来应该更加犀利一些。
希望Forcier不是个水货。新生上来就担大樑。我都替他捏一把汗。不知道feagin和
sheridan明年会不会分一些压力。
防守不知道谁会走。people with pride shouldn't leave.要我我就不走。nnd好歹不
能在losing season以后走人啊。要走也得打一个winning season再草稿。show some
heart guys!
不过trent可以走。warren不知道是因为受伤啊还是因为能力有限，赛季开始，中间的
几场比赛，他那边就是个大漏勺。简直是QB的天堂啊。每次仍那种3rd and long。就找
那个方向仍一个hail mary,保证一个big play.希望新人能够尽快成长。
Oline那几个胖子，倒是越打越好。从赛季开始的时候I don't know what the fcuk

限对上场的队员，受伤的还有没入学的新生通通不理。
进攻：
QB: Pryor是绝对的difference maker，精英水平。加上有一年的比赛经验，在春赛中
表现极为抢眼。Bauserman做替补辍辍有余。Forcier近距离传球和Pryor相差不大，对
球赛的感觉似乎略微胜出。UM没有可打的替补。优势：OSU by 5 TD
RB: Boom/Herron的中路突破很成功，视角和转身都很好。Saine速度超一流，但是方向
选择还有待提高。Michigan的Minor/Carlos Brown也很出色，CBrown长驱直入的那个TD
好像让我重新看到Biakabutuka的影子。替补Shaw和Vincent也具备home run的潜力。优
势：如果不受伤的话，Michigan by 3 TD
OL: OSU的攻线今年大换血，所以春赛表现一般。当然也有可能是自己的DL过于凶狠，
碰上别的大十球队就没啥问题了。他们最好的球员除了一个我不愿点名的以外都是一二年
级新生, 呵呵。光看春赛，OSU没有像Michiga |

1) Chris Peterson, as much as I love JH, I think JH's offense is kinda not
going with the trend. CP has a well coached team and sound offense mind.
Their D is very good also. I enjoyed watching BSU play all the time.
