据dealer说，车是他们salesman开的，没在DMV注册过，
所有维护，质保同新车一样。

中国人的：
1。wexford。中国人里的水平最高的吧。至少年轻人多。
2。north hill。没去过，听说人不少，不过速度慢些。
3。monroeville,boyce park。人不多，不分男女老幼。
老外的：
1。学校附近有小股部队。没跟他们踢过，不过你上去踢一般也不会不让的。
2。monroeville有比较多的人踢，有时候在monroeville park,有时候在valley park。
水平有高有低。
3。great pittsburgh area soccer league。按年纪分，open league, over 30, over
40, over 50，co-rec open, co-rec over 30。co-rec是男女混合的，一般是夏天或
者冬天有，其中co-rec over 30是水平最低的。其他的联赛水平都不低，不过你需要有
极大热情才行，因为通常要交费，$60-100，而且比赛一般要到开车20－40分钟的地方。
总之，你真的想踢球，还是没有问题的。 |

有个在SHADYSIDE买到2室1厅2手住房在12万左右，
有的在靠近MONROEVILLE地方买到10万左右新建的HOUSE，环境很漂亮
如果不在乎远点的话，住市郊比如 Monroeville 或north park等区，
10-30万之间真是能买到相当不错的房子 |

发帖数: 1991 | 17 monroeville mall地处痞子堡东部，376高速10B口或者14号口下去都可以到。
此mall分布在william penn hwy两边，10B口下去是william penn hwy路的西侧头，14
号下去是william penn hwy路的东侧头。
10B下去，一直开陆续可以看见sears,circuit city, office depot, home depot,（旁
边有一中餐自助），sam's club , kohls ，toysRus, babiesRus等商店分布在路的两
边，shopping mall在kohls那个口前面一个口，里面有主要的一些商店如macy's ,
JCpenny, 以及其他的一些零售店，这里就不一一罗列了，参见http://www.monroevillemall.com/shop/monroeville.nsf/index。
william penn hwy再往前开就可以看见一些餐厅，如red lobster, golden corral(美
式自助）, outback等等。
14号口下去则是相反的顺序，离餐厅较近，mall较远，另外 |

得很reasonable啦。贵点的都是好学区，north allegheny, sewickley, fox chapel,
mt lebanon and upper saint clair都是好学区，可是20几万在mt lebanon也能买到不
错的房子啦。就更不要说Monroeville了。我在mt lebanon住了好多年，所以算比较熟。
9万多在这里相当不错的薪水啦。我觉得养活全家是一点问题没有。 |

chapel，Pine Richland。 东部Monroeville学区好像一般。2500SQFT5年之内房子(好
学区)要$300k and up. Monroeville的房价要低些。 Pittsburgh North 的Property Tax 大概是2%， Pittsburgh
South 的Property Tax 大概是 3%. |

按照以前的定义：
376 是从 Downtown - Monroeville，其 0 mile 在 Fort-Pitt Bridge 北岸；
从 Fort-Pitt Bridge 往机场方向一直到 79，这段叫 279（同时也是US22/US30/PA60
）。过了 79 之后叫 US22/US30/PA60。往西北到 Beaver 那一段叫 PA576 Turnpike。
按照现在的定义：
376 除了原先从 Downtown - Monroeville 那段之外，从 Fort-Pitt Bridge 一直到
79，机场，往西北经过 Beaver，和 I-76 第二次相交，一直到 I-80，统统改称 I-376
。所以现在 376 的 0 mile 在 I-80。从 I-80 到 Fort-Pitt Bridge 大约 70 miles
左右（现在的 Downtown 的出口编号是 Exit 70）。 |

电影《杀死一只知更鸟》久闻其名，最近才从图书馆借来DVD一饱眼福。虽然是黑白片
，做工比现在大部分高科片精致得多，孩子的玩耍、对话、对神秘街坊的恐惧和好奇、
哥特式恐怖画面与音响效果……一切显得真切、细腻而不愚蠢。我家孩子看得目不转睛
，一点不觉得过时或无趣。电影的聪明之处在于从一个孩子的视角慢慢带出种族歧视、
强奸、凶杀等复杂的成人问题——前面二十来分钟都是野孩子探索天地，一点不涉本片
重点之黑人问题，真是不动声色的大家手笔。
知更鸟是6岁的假小子Scout讲述律师父亲Atticus为被白种女人指控强奸的黑人出庭辩
护的故事。主题大家都知道；我想说的是电影呈现的30年代和现在多么不同。不过我没
住过美国南方，不知道现在的南方是否仍有这些风俗遗迹：
六岁和十岁的小孩可以单独呆在家里、车里；单独在外疯玩，无论白天黑夜；自行走路
上下学；晚上十点自行从学校穿过一片树林走回家，女孩还赤着脚。——真是田园时代
啊。
小孩上学穿着非常正式：男孩戴领带，穿西装衬衫和西裤；女孩穿带领子的正式裙子。
