to the Native Americans who had a particularly fruitful ministry among the
Delaware Indians of New Jersey. During his short life he was beset by many

1．阿帕拉契山道 The Appalachian Trail
阿帕拉契山道是嗜好健走人士永远企图征服的一条山道。山道的构思始于1921年，
直到1937年才完成。婉延2185哩的山道始于乔治亚州的施普林格山（Springer
Mountain,
Georgia)，终于缅因州的卡塔丁山（Mount Katahdin, Maine），总共横跨了全美
十二个州（北卡罗来纳州、田纳西州、维吉尼亚州、西维吉尼亚州、马里兰州、宾
夕法尼亚州、新泽西州、纽约州、康乃狄克州、马萨诸塞州、佛蒙特州、和新罕布
什尔州）。
阿帕拉契山道从宾州达拉瓦水峡的沃辛顿（Worthington）国家森林进入新泽西，经
过州境内几个公园（包括高点和Wawayanda）后，迈出新泽西/纽约边境。
阿帕拉契山道在新泽西的部分经过Canal Road，跨越Wawayanda溪，转进树林，弯延
2.9哩，接下来是经过一个火车道，一个接一个的牧场。
新州境内的山道虽不及其它州的荡气回肠，但穿过草园与湿地，道路四周闲适清幽，
