我在今年一月录制《八方论坛》节目，讨论华为孟晚舟事件背后真相的时候，因为和史
东在节目前聊天，谈到中美贸易战，所以在节目结束前也换到这个话题，做了一些预测。
当时我认为中国进入经济迟缓比美国早了半年多，所以最好是不要急着谈出协议，等到
七八月美国经济问题明显化，Trump的压力大增，谈判的天平自然会向中方倾斜。这个
预见已经准确实现了。
但是我也提到届时已经进入Trump这个任期的尾端，而Trump赢得连任的机会实在不大，
任何美方的承诺都会在2020年底自动作废，所以中方必须避免落入单方面承担协议责任
的窘境。这个分析同样仍然有效；而实际上中方的谈判团队在Trump多次反复之后，似
乎已经理解到Trump自己都大机率会废除或违反协议的条款，对下一任美国政府更加不
能寄予希望，那么当然不会再急着在一张废纸上签字。

UBI的想法在美国从Thomas Paine就开始了。不知道的可以去查查，Paine被认为是
founding father of American revolution. 1797年他就提出了Citizens Dividends的
想法。也是Yang的freedom dividends的来源。一般认为Paine的政治倾向是
libertarian，不是今日的民主党，也不是共和党。

目前来看，虽然Impeachment基本是定局；但是trump去职的可能性基本为零。这个没有
问题。很可能，trump的民调还会增高，他连任的可能性更大。
但是，这是impeach the president！美国200多年的历史中，只发生过两次。十年二十
年或更久以后，人们根本不会在乎或根本不记得trump为什么被弹劾，而只记得他被弹
劾这一事实。这就是trump总统的永久污点，trump 的名字将永远与Andrew Johnson和
Bill Clinton（还有Richard Nixon）联系在一起。很光彩吗？！
那些相信Ukraine电话事件是trump的大招、Impeachment是件好事的那帮粉们，更是傻X

Michael Pillsbury, a senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, said there is no
equivalent word in Mandarin to “impeachment.”
